Noah was in town last month for the Bloody Basin run and we hooked up to take his truck to Lex Motorsports. Seems he had to fix some of his amateur stunt driving snafus. Drifting in the snow can have consequences
He came back over the weekend to pick it up and we finished my audio install too...
Installed my amps & processor with big time help from Noah (the car stereo company) to do the final upgrade to my audio system. I had done the speakers, sound deadening, and sub box, but had been a little intimidated by the processor install & tune. Gotta say. its incredible what good amps...
X2. A color change done right is expensive, like $6 K and up. If you can live with red door jambs and find a wrap that works with it, you will be better off. And not worry about it when you off road it
I'd take you up on that, Mat. BUUUUUTTTT, I lack booth disposable income and disposable Raptors for such an event. Plus, what fun would it be going down there and taking it easy?? Then again, If you've got the cash, sounds like a cool idea.
I do have a Dicks Sporting goods not too far away. Didnt know they filled them. What PSI do they fill them to? I'll check out the local paint ball suppliers too. I went to a local liquor store that filled them for Kegerators, but they didnt fill them up to a very high pressure, and after one air...
The problem I had was the brackets that are on the back side of the box that the lock rod goes through are plastic. They fit in a plastic tongue and groove style slot molded into the box which broke out after about a year. The weight of the whole box is hanging on the latch and rod on the lock...
TJ, just went through your build thread. Great fab skills!! I love your rear bumper build and the high mount receiver idea. I bought a used RPG rear bumper w/reciever and plan to dovetail soon. I may steal your design to mount the receiver above the bottom tube. Nice work!
Thanks T_J. I'll keep that in mind if I have a problem. I mounted my box back a little farther towards the tailgate. Its seated up against the upright with a layer of closed cell foam in between for vibration & rattle control. I think I will make an angle iron bracket to tie the top of the box...
Good to know. I already have it mounted, and 95% of my driving is on road, so I'm going to give it a shot. Its still day & night better built than the swing case it replaced.
After reading your post, I may make an angle bracket to bolt the top corner of the box to the bed side upright. The...
Looks like a good price on them. Do you know if they offer lower Kelvin temp bulbs? I didnt see any alternatives listed on the website. I just cant wrap my head around the Blue/white looking LED headlights for daily driver duty.
Here you go;
It has the option of 3 or 5 drawers. I probably should have taken the 3 drawer model instead, overall size is the same, but this one works out fine. I have my hand tools in small tool bags that fit in the 3 bigger drawers and rags, misc stuff in the smaller drawers...
Installed a Christmas present
From Northern tool. I finally got rid of my Swing case and got this instead. It isnt as tall or as deep as the swing case was, but it holds everything I need to keep with me for an emergency roadside repair. And its NOT plastic :flipthebird: Should hold up...
No excuses necessary. You are already way ahead of most people here's wives. Usually read comments from wives or girl friends like "more truck parts again?" or "we've got to let the budget recover" or "I can't believe how much money you spend on that damned truck". Ha. Your attitude alone...
Dammit!! I just checked back in here and saw it was a 1 nite showing,... THAT I MISSED!!!!. :flipthebird: Couldnt find any info on addl showings or listings for sale. But I cant assume someone would take the time and money to produce a film like this and NOT eventually offer it for sale or...
Thanks for the update Vrod. I've wanted to take Schnebly hill rd for a while now and just haven't got around to it. :hitit:
Did your son go up by the Orabelle mine on the Crown King trip? As I recall from my Dirt Bike days many moons ago, that route up may be pretty steep and tight in a...
As an old rocker arm guy meself, I'm guessing he gave you a can of Rislone or Marvel Mystery Oil? Old school fix all decrudifiers that worked pretty well back in the day.
I have a swing case on my gen 1. Good idea and fits under my bakflip, but it didnt hold up. After about 1,1/2 years, the latch rod broke out of the back of the box where it hooks into the latch. If a person were to screw a block of wood or metal where the weight of the case rests on that and not...
