There is a gear on the end of the crankshaft that I believe turns the timing chain. That gear is vulnerable when adding boost in some Ford vehicles. There is not an aftermarket option for the 6.2 so I do no think it’s a breaking point.
The installer does a lot of mustang Superchargers and with mustangs they upgrade the crankshaft gear to a billet gear along with the oil pump gear. I ordered a billet oil pump gear and housing but could not find a billet aftermarket crank gear. It looks like the stock crank gear is pretty hefty...
I will most likely have it installed by a professional. I have mechanics in my family but I do not want the stress of messing something up as I don’t work on engines daily.
Thank you all for your input. I am going to order the Whipple stage 2 with the extra fans etc. I will also order the oil pump. I appreciate all of your feedback.
I have a Gen 1 2010 Raptor in mint condition. Just turned 66k. I am considering a Whipple supercharger stage 2 kit complete with everything it comes with. I would like advice fron people that did this or have experience with supercharging these vehicles to the cons or any issues I will...
I did not replace the spring isolator or the top hat bushing. Everything else has been replaced. This could be the culprit! I replaced upper and lower control arms and b-joints, sway bar bushings and links, shocks and lower shock bushings. (Rebuilt by Texas Shock Works) I will try the parts...
I have a 2010 Ford Raptor 6.2. I only have 50k on it. It has been babied and never off road. I have a clunk noise in the front end when driving over small bumps at lower speeds 30-40mph. Makes no noise on the highway. I can feel it by my feet. I have replaced, upper and lower control arms, the...

Thank you I will check ASAP. I ordered the gauge from fox. I think it’s lossless. It screws on and then has a seat that turns so not nitrogen is lost. I think a very small amount will be released but hopefully not enough o make a difference. Appreciate the reply.
I have the same exact noise with my brand new Fox 3.0 suspension. Its just the bypass valves ticking but I can't stand it. If I knew this would be the case I would not have purchasesd them. I can't believe fox would sell these with such an awful noise.
I may sell mine if I can not figure it out. If I do I will post them on this Forum. I am going to figure out where to send the factory set up to get rebuilt first.
Just installed the fox 3.0 suspension and it sounds awful. Everything torqued to spec and double checked two times by my mechanic with me present. Loud clunk noise form the front coil overs over small and larger bumps that sound awful. The rears make noise like marbles inside a tin can. All I...
Did you resolve the issue? Just installe mine and they sound awful. The fronts sound like they are not attached and the rears sound like marbles inside a tin can. I called fox and they told me the the coil overs are the exact same for both cab styles. I have the small cab. The noise is...
DO NOT Purchase the 3.0 suspension for a better ride. I just installed them on my Gen 1 and they ride stiffer and they are noisy and loud. I only have 50k on my Gen 1 and it is in show condition and never off roaded. The fronts sound worse then another truck I have with 300k on the original...
Just installed the 3.0 suspension on my gen 1 raptor. The truck was quiet and rode like a luxury suv before the switch. I bought them for an upgrade and that was a mistake. The ride is rough and if I hit the smallest pot hole or sewer cap the front coil overs sound like they are not bolted in...
