Because the Gen 2 is ******* great enough. And because it is good enough to wait a couple years and not pay ADM and get the updated version of the Gen 3 with heated seats that hasn't been sitting in a field next to a factory waiting for microchips for a year.

You will get a 2021 model in 2023 with no heated seats. Or maybe no heated steering wheel. Maybe cooled seats. Maybe not. Start stop yes. Rear defrost definitely maybe. Quite possible. ADM guaranteed. Or just wait until 2023.

Well I have gone through the drive cycle multiple times. And no dice. I think that's why the are now wanting to physically replace internal transmission parts. But I still do not understand why they will not do the update for the shudder. Very disappointed.

Yes! Thank you. I agree. But the dealer is telling me that since I was previously experiencing the hard shift into Drive... That they will not fix the shudder issue with 21N08. Even though the 21B10 is definitely the cause of the shudder. Total BS.

Update. Ford refuses to update to 21N08. Since it is related to the transmission problem previously slamming into D and that the shudder is transmission related. So that says that the cam phaser update 21B10 is transmission related. The dealer had reset the TCM transmission calibration in hopes...

Had update. Now my truck runs like schitt. Idle fumbles when I come to complete stop and there is a shudder at low rpms while driving. Wtf. So frustrating. This truck was perfect for a long time now I almost want to get rid of it. Is this how the dealers are getting new stock???!!! Kidding. Kinda.

Transmission. Engine bogging because in too high of gear. Creates a shudder or vibration. How's your 3-4 and 4-3 shift feeling? Maybe have dealer reset your TCM and then let it properly relearn the shift strategies. I'll get you my Venmo info!

Does it feel like motor is bogged down.... Like it is in the wrong gear? So has a shudder. Does it do it when in Sport mode? Sounds like transmission issues.

My 18 is having this exact issue. I went from loving this truck to dreading the damn thing. Dealer reset tcm shift strategies.... No dice. Same schitt. Ridiculous. They say next steps is replacing valve bodies. Opening the transmission.. down the rabbit hole he goes.
