Putting the pads in backwards will cause them to stick like you mentioned.

Not Yet! The beauty of the rack is that it is easy to remove and reinstall......the forward mounts, circled in white, are for the main rack, I left it in, but can be easily removed in a few minutes. The rear portion, circled in red, I just put in when I was going on a run. 2 bolts and...

I asked the same question! Never got an answer. In many trips to Baja, with the short pads, I notice that the top of the springs/ Ubolts were bottoming out on the frame, also putting load on the shocks leading to shock mount failures.

The RPG Bumpstop kit comes with two different "pads" for the Bumpstops…...Need to use the longer one so contact with the springs is made sooner.

After breaking BOTH upper shocks mounts off prerunning, I ordered a basic SVC by-pass rack with KINGS 3.5's that I will finish out to be similar to the old rack. Also got new lower shocks mounts!!!!!

General maintenance project from the last Baja trip to get ready for the next one! New rear axle seals and bearings, Diff fluid... New front axles and CVs, the trail side CV boot repair wasn't cutting it anymore! brake pads...

You might try your local welding supplier......for under $200 you can get a tank, regulator and a hose. I have the tank mounted in the bed on Baja trips to use as an air supply in emergencies.

I do many miles in the desert and Baja, I use canvas tool rolls and put them in a small "Packer" tote which is strapped down in my bed rack. The trick is after you load the Packer with your tools and what not, use a folded heavy towel to take up the remaining space. I do the towel trick in...
