I hope I get some snow this winter to try out the Yoko Geolander G003s in. Last year we got none here. The RGs were good in the snow, but horrible in deep loose sand, so I will never buy those again.
On my previous Raptor, I had the 37 inch KM3s. I wouldn't change a thing. There's an old saying - you don't need mud tires until you need them. They are very good on and off road. The only tires I've had that I like better (and I've had a LOT of AT, Hybrid, and MTs) are the new Yokohama MTs...
37 x 12.5 x 17 are a lot easier and require no trimming with factory wheels and the level you described. You would also need a 1" block in back so it doesn't look nose-high.
Duh. I would use a good tire, but hardly anyone uses a beadlock, so why spend the money on a Raptor wheel? Even when you trade or sell it, most would never even realize that it wasn't the original wheel.
What I meant was, if I was the victim, I wouldn't replace it with a Raptor wheel. Why spend the extra money on something that you likely will never use, and if you do, it's only temporary.
Thieves should be shot, period. Why do you need a Raptor wheel for a spare? Any old F-150 wheel with the correct bolt pattern and tire size will work. It's just for temporary use anyway.
Mine is a daily driver as well, 55 mi each way. I'm running Yokohama Geolander MTs, and they are the best tires I've had. Smooth and fairly quiet on road, and awesome in mud.
