37s are NO problem to clear with a level kit (2" or 2.5" with 1" block in back) and STOCK wheels. If you replace the stock wheels trimming will be required because of the different offset. The problem with 38s are several:
1. All the decent ones are 13.5" wide, so there you have another...
Use the KISS principle and make it easy. Unless you are are racing, slow down a bit and turn TC off. I haven't noticed the problem on my '18 even with TC off, but I don't go balls out on washboard roads, and maybe the heavier weight of the 37s helps.
I went from a 17 F-250 to an 18 Raptor. The ONLY thing I miss is sitting up just a little higher in the F-250, but I ameliorated some of that with a level kit and 37s. I don't haul or tow anything heavy, so the Rap is better in every way for me. The Rap is so much better off-road that it is...
I didn't mean that it is a lot in terms of the Rap's capacity. I meant that is fairly heavy and WILL sag the rear suspension, which is what you were concerned about in your post.
