    GEN 1 BuiltRight Industries (feedback)

Quick follow-up on this thread... I just took the truck out to the ROC Mint 400 run. I got the truck airborne a few times and the amount of weight 3 filled rotopax put on the rack while jumping the truck was too much. When I get the actual production racks, I will either build a support to go...

    GEN 1 BuiltRight Industries (feedback)

I used the clamps that originally came with my cover. I have an Undercover Flex and the clamps that mount to that bed cover are different than the ones that BuiltRight sells. I plan to buy some more clamps from Undercover soon. The ones that built right sells are more of the flat versions...

Ha... It took me a second to figure out what you meant. But thanks for thanks for the message. Images should be fixed now.

    GEN 1 BuiltRight Industries (feedback)

I wanted to give a shout-out to BuiltRight Industries. The precision and tolerances they adhere to when making their products is outstanding. I recently purchased their Seat Release Kit and Bedside Rack System. Both items fit as if they were custom made to fit my truck. Their customer...

    Running without liners

I believe so. I think some people don't run any liners because even with the larger fenders you can still mash the tire into the liner (please don't ask me how I know that). I think if you are just driving around you should be fine but if you are in an area with lots of mud, salt, water etc...

    Torque specs

Confirmed, looks right. I am not sure if you are referencing the spreadsheet I posted earlier in this thread, but your numbers match the torque specs there. Thanks again to pirate air for the original post.

How To Geiser Brothers Progressive Coil Installation

I have actually replaced my fronts with a Fox 3.0 setup so I can't measure it at the moment. I gave my shocks with the Geiser's on them to a friend though who should have it setup soon and be able to give you measurements. MotoX11B can you post your measurements when you get them installed?

    My New Favorite Jackstands

Not full droop in the picture; But as you might be able to see, the stands can go up another 6 slots so getting it to full droop is no problem. It makes swapping out the springs and doing pretty much all suspension work much easier.

Impact driver for lower shock bolt

I have gone through the process of removing and installing the front shocks a few times now. My preferred method at this point is to use a torque multiplier with a breaker bar to remove the nut. Though, as others have mentioned, you should be able to get it off without the torque multiplier...

Anyone got a write up for fox 3.0 coil over installation?

Following up here regarding the torque multiplier... I decided to go with the Forged Offroad Lower Front Shock Bolt. After the discussion we had in this thread about the error introduced by the torque multiplier I also decided to break down and buy a torque wrench that could manage the...

Best brake lines for our trucks?

I helped a friend install a set of Full Race brake lines. We struggled a bit installing the rears since the fittings on the lines didn't exactly match the size of fittings on the OEM lines. There is a bracket mounted on the frame that needed to be loosened and moved a little to get it to work...

    Resonator delete is gone too!

    FS: MBRP Exhaust with turndown

Thanks for all the responses. The exhaust has been SOLD. I still have the resonator delete pipe if anyone is interested. PM me if you are. If I understand the question right, yes the exhaust mounts to the existing grommet used for the original exhaust.

Anyone got a write up for fox 3.0 coil over installation?

I have 7 threads showing above the ring. The measurement from the top of a stock fender to the ground, with 35x12.5r17 BFG KO2 ATs, stock wheels is about 42" I think the response that will be most agreed upon is: start with the shock compressed 50% when under load. Then move up from there...

Anyone got a write up for fox 3.0 coil over installation?

Not sure this will help but here is what I did to get the ring back into position. I uninstalled the shock from the truck. I attached coil compressors to take the tension off the ring. I loosened the allen all the way out of the ring. In your case you may have to resort to some sort of...

Anyone got a write up for fox 3.0 coil over installation?

I ran into the same issue when I installed mine. I uninstalled the shock and moved the ring to where it should be and reinstalled it. I am not sure how you would get an allen wrench back there even if you loosen the three bolts on top, but if you are able to loosen it I think using the fox...

Anyone got a write up for fox 3.0 coil over installation?

Agreed, this statement doesn't instill the most confidence. I can say that I have used the torque multiplier three times on the LCA shock bolt (I bought new bolts each time too) over the past four years and I haven't had any trouble with them coming loose. I would be interested in what people...

Sorry m3 I thought ROC turned into Forged. My mistake! ---------- Post added at 08:26 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:01 AM ---------- Respectfully, I am not sure I agree that it cannot be mounted elsewhere, I think a bracket could be made which would move the reservoir with its...

Anyone got a write up for fox 3.0 coil over installation?

It is true that the LCA bolt and nut are supposed to be replaced, the service manual says: "Remove the shock absorber lower nut, bolt and the lower arm. Discard the shock absorber lower nut and bolt." The part numbers for the bolt and nut are: Bolt: W709877 Nut: W711310 (discontinued) The...

Anyone got a write up for fox 3.0 coil over installation?

Yep, that is exactly how it works. You let the bar that comes off it bind against the floor or some other immovable object when torquing the bolt. I found that I needed to put a cut piece of square tube over the bar that comes off the torque multiplier to provide some reinforcement when...

    FS: MBRP Exhaust with turndown

Stainless MBRP Turndown Exhaust for Gen1 Crew Cab. I would like to try to sell this locally, so if you are in the San Francisco Bay Area PM me. I have it listed on Craigslist for $200, but for my FRF family, I will let it go for $100. Comes with or without a resonator, your choice. If no...

Anyone got a write up for fox 3.0 coil over installation?

When I did this installation, I used a torque multiplier to get that lower bolt to the proper torque. Shopping around you should be able to find one for around $200 (though the prices can go up as high as $3K). I cheaped out and got the one listed here for about $80. So far it has worked well...
