if you bought a raptor to be unique, I have a pair of special edition Levi's 501 jeans that I'd like to sell you. NO ONE will have a pair like them. I'll let them go for $5k. limited time offer.
those tires are so good in sand. they're an R&D spec dakar compound.
The are sticky when cold and get hard when they get warm. they act like mini-paddles.
yeah, you're hearing the BOV every time I let off the throttle or shift gears.
The squeaking is my need to add rubber bumpers to the one-piece now that I went to aluminum body washers. the body mounts also squeek like hell once they get dust/silt in them.
I actually backed the image stabilization way off and mounted the camera to the bumper tube, so the majority of the smoothness is the suspension.
I was running 18 psi in the fronts and 21 in the rear.
If I had to put a number on it, I was probably as 4/10ths or 5/10ths on that lap. I'm...
Well, I went out to TRR. Had some Brake/wheel issues and am also chasing an issue with my PCM relay de-energizing and pulling power.
I took some video of the one lap that I did. I was fighting the truck most of the way, so its not really close to a full-pace run, but its still kinda cool. Keep...
if you have a mechanical e-brake, The stock rear axle from my truck is sitting in Dallas at TMX. I'll cut ya a good deal on it. If you have an electronic parking brake, I don't have an answer for you other than, rear axles don't magically bend on their own.
the boots aren't engineered to withstand constant rubbing ( which happens if the axle shaft is spinning constantly). the ridges will rub on each other, then they tear. Ford assumes that the IWEs are functioning, the axles aren't constantly spinning, and I'm sure they engineer the boots'...
I usually toss the part numbers from other sites into the search on parts.ford.com to verify that its compatible with my Vin. ( I've had an account for a long time and have my in saved on the site to make it easy. )
If the result comes back and it isn't clear, I call my local dealer and ask...
RCV makes wider engagement pawls that you can use with your IWEs. They make them a big stronger.
No matter what happens, I'd advise against IWE eliminators. I had them. For every bit of strength that they add, they cause just as much annoyance/frustration due to having to constantly replace...
it could be a different part number. I'd have a dealer run a search for a replacement rack for your vin. If it comes back different than what you have, its a problem.
The only way that the bolt would just "spin and spin and spin" is if they hit the bolts with one too many "ugga duggas" and...
if you happen to have an iPad, I'd purchase a leadnav subscription and also order an xgps160 to use with it.
I'm in the midst of changing my raptor over to use an Ipad/leadnav. I already switched my chase truck over.
I question how and why they got a "stuck bolt" and why in god's name a stuck bolt caused a need for a new rack.
I'll bet that they drilled through the captive bushing in the back and realized that Ford doesn't sell it separately.
To answer your question, yes, there are multiple steering...
I will say this. Galpin has done more cars, trucks, UFOs than all of the aforementioned offroad shops combined. The quality standards at Galpin are far and beyond any other shop that I've ever walked into. They truly have seen it all.
you wont see many in NM. You'll see more in west texas after youre through el paso.
If you want to make an offroad pitstop around las cruces/ EP, lmk abnd ill connect ya with my dudes.
someone is making removable sway links just like they make for jeeps.
I want to say that it was evil mfg that was making them.
Someone is.
I havent had a sway bar in a couple years. TBH, I'd just unbolt them and zip tie them up when you go offroad.
Or just sack up and ditch the sway...
look up "gel blaster" on amazon. Short of something like an airsoft rifle, these things are awesome for moooooooving cattle. ( My new louder siren works betyter than the chinesium 100w that I had, but the $60 gel blaster works better)
