Don't forget that little setscrew bastard like I did haha! Soak the **** out of it with your favorite flavor of penetrating oil (ideally like overnight), cut the decal away, use force (rubber mallet, press, BFH, etc.)...good luck!
Same here, my next set will be 35" KO2's since it's going to be a while before I get everything else done. Was looking at Patagonia M/T load range D and they are supposedly 34.7" (so a whopping .3" larger than the C-range KO2's at 34.4"), a little heavier and deeper tread, quite a bit cheaper...
Fit, yes. Rub, maybe. Depends on how hard you get after it; from what I've read best case no rubbing or only minor (at front wheelwells) when in reverse and full lock, worst case you rip out the front splash guards and/or eject some flares and/or remodel your windshield washer tank on a big...
I agree, sooner is better than at the worst possible time. I would get it done and check those mounts, @PD1744's were toast if I remember right. And replace those trans line quick couplers that could fail with straight hose. Anything else you'd like me to spend your money on? :hmm:
Well that sucks but it was worth a try. How many miles on it? Mine had like 152k and was rode hard and put up wet, had to replace inner & outer tie rods, lower ball joints, upper control arms, rebuilt the shocks, etc. Luckily didn't need a rack but they aren't too bad on rockauto last time I...
I don't! Can't find anywhere that differentiates between the two, wondering if they cut in production for some year with the Hitachis and previous years were only Bosch (like if they started putting them in in '13, maybe a '12 would be Bosch and a direct replacement, but so far I'm not sure)...
From the DIY thread pdf:
Use lotsa oil, with the bullet it should be relatively painless but might need some persuasion, I don't remember if I had to smack mine with a mallet:
New battery and check the starter relay (#3 I think, under hood) just in case? I had that one out once and tried to start it (really don't think that's your problem because the dashes on the odometer, that's gotta be PCM or BCM, but anyway) and it throws a "Start system fault" message on the...
That would do it, albeit a lot of grinding. That bit is a monster haha! The issue is the space between that 27mm hex hole and (best I remember) the front diff, there's barely enough room to get a tool in there...
Ok it was metric like you said, found where I wrote it down; 27mm head (this was some random unmarked relatively thin-headed bolt I found laying around the shop), looks like the bolt itself is an 18mm diameter:

Haha nice! Yep one too many 1's there, it's a 1-1/16" socket that the bolt head fits. Not sure where I found it but this link says it's a 5/8" heavy head bolt (WTF?); it might have been a metric. Thinking about this, if you can find a head that fits a 1-1/16" socket, you could cut the bolt...
You ever in Arkansas? Got one in Perryville, about an hour north of Little Rock...
Saw your post in "What did you do to your Raptor today" thread and was going to reply, with try adjusting your rack first. If you got a welder or welding friend, the big head (bolt head cut off) uses a 1-11/16"...
