GEN 1 2014 Roush Raptor, KHC 5 Link

Especially when only the college carries the books, (all ultra low volume sellers produced by the most expensive publishers.....) which were written by the professor. What's the definition of a "great" book? One that millions of people read and are affected by, like professor Jordan...

    No crank and stranded HELP

Maybe check online for customer reviews, specifically for checking out electrical gremlins? You might get lucky and find a recommendation for a better shop in the area for diagnosing it.

    Opinions on my suspension upgrades

The solution to any suspension problem is to throw more money at it. But if the 2011's require an extra cost than the 13-14's, I'd wait until I could get a ride in one before committing to a bigger spend.

Keep in mind that since your Raptor parts also fit F-150's, you can always sell them in a heartbeat when you step up to the Big Boy version.

For those that have a ravelco device (or other anti theft); how do you handle these scenarios?

As long as it's insured, and either the valet or the restaurant also has insurance; that's as good as it gets.

The Born in Baja documentary shows the build Foutz Motorsports did. They used 3 tube bypass 3.0 shocks, (Kings without stickers), that were mounted just below the hood on an engine cage (instead of in the stock coil bucket). And Foutz's tubular chromoly LCA's, UCA's, & 4WD spindles. The axles...

    Opinions on my suspension upgrades

All the aftermarket UCA designs have slight geometry changes allowing the spindle to droop out a little more and hold alignment when using longer springs/more preload. None of them say you can bolt up 39's, huck it for a hundred feet, or enter the Baja 1000. But you should be able to maintain...

    Opinions on my suspension upgrades

I think I paid a little over $100 for newer LCA bushings, another $250 to a reliable shop to rebuild my steering rack, and ended up with RPG's (steel, not billet) UCA's. For now, I'm going with a new (oem) steering pump & reservoir, (and staying with 35's). There's already a steering cooler...

Help - feeling a little Raptor regret

I've got a used house, used dogs, used guns, (allegedly), used welder, used vacuum cleaners, a used Gen 1 Raptor, and a used shipping container full of used parts. Just sayin'.

Finally decided on suspension, Camburg, no, Evil Offroad, no, RPG, no, SVC, no, HM, of course, When You Know, You Know!

The good news is, the $1500 stated cost of a  new (quality) splined driveshaft is offset by the used value of the oem one-piece aluminum one. I'm seeing them at over $300 to $400 depending on condition. The bad news is, used Raptor leaf springs aren't worth spit.

Gen 1 to Gen 2 Suspension

I remember the first time I tried drilling a bunch of holes through a curved skidplate that I thought was nice, soft aluminum. By the time I realized it was stainless steel I had wrecked the drill bits, flattened the punch, and run out of patience. That's when I discovered the joy of using a...

Don't forget to include the new splined driveshaft. The Deaver spring-under leaf pack gets a LOT of travel, and a lot of plunge too.

Gen 1 to Gen 2 Suspension

"TIP: Make sure you have fresh drill bits, and a good right angle drill. The drilling of the bucket holes for the bolts is by far the worst part of this project, as it takes a while". These 90° 3/8" drive drills are around $25, (Lowes had them). They certainly aren't professional quality...

Gen 1 to Gen 2 Suspension

So the Gen 1 Eibach coil springs will fit INSIDE the 3.0 Gen 2 Foxes? And what kind of clearance do you end up with on the P-side between the top of the bucket and the motor & AC lines? I've got the liners out (on project "someday"), because I was already replacing everything but the engine...
