being a part of one of the lowest regulated utility providers in the country. I like my 10-11 cents per KwH over night charging. Which would average out to be 8-10 bucks overnight charging on a level 2.
I always thought the Sony system in the Gen 1s was best. My B&O in the Gen 2 is okay but really not worth it. I wish Ford would go to McIntosh, Polk, Harmon which all sound better to me.
I have heard of this as well, Green card holders not investing in stocks and the market but housing. They get revenue from rentals and AirBnBs. It has gotten so bad that they are thinking about starting to tax and fee them on top of the charges AirBnB charges. People can buy and pay for what...
Not in my area, so many people are selling their homes in California and other West coast Lib HOLES and moving here. Our house is worth 50% more than it was in 2019 and that is not going down. As a matter of fact they continue to build new homes here and some Californian's are moving in and...
Leadfoot is awesome, I love mine and would have bought a 21 when I could. I am stuck with my 18 though and I don't see myself getting rid of it any time soon.
Yeah, it is a messed up process. I know the owner of one dealership that I have dealt with forever but his GM keeps holding allocations and giving them to his buddies. Real awesome so I called a dealer with 20 allocations and got on their list. If Tesla could come out with the Cyber truck or...
So, I did some calling around and do have a Hummer reserved but I thought I could easily trade my Gen 2 for a Gen 3 at MSRP. Wrong, if your dealer doesn't have an allocation to give you then you will NOT be getting a Gen 3. They can or will order it for you on your choice but I called my local...
With the Es on my Gen 1 I could go 60 plus K miles on them. They were loud and a little rougher. With the Gen 2 C ratings they barely make 40k miles but are very soft in comparison. So I guess there is a trade off
Uh yeah, the coops look a little thin. The BFGs are 6 ply tires and could probably run over rail road ties. I did have a bubble on one tire that was OEM. I just replaced mine around 5k miles ago. Seem to be doing well. I generally stick with OEM tires.
the future of battery tech is Iron Phosphate, not Lithium. However there exists tons of options to extract Lithium from Bromine. The battery makers are the one that will be breaking new technology as it comes to market. We are probably 10 years away from major EV adoption.
I don't have any idea what most of you all pay per KwH but that is the only way EVs make sense, it may hurt grids in California or Texas but that isn't the case for many mid south mid west states. The grid modifications are being made even in a state like Texas that has ERCOT. Listen you don't...
Some charge higher than that, I have seen a dollar KwH for electric level 2 charging before. You have limitations as with anything but I would not drive an EV across country but for local travel, to and from work, and most in state travel you are fine.
Duke Energy
Dominion
AEP
are just some examples of regulated utilities,
Also your math is a little fuzzy on the output requirements for level 2 charging, usually a 60 amp circuit is good enough to charge a Level 2 output over night. Anywhere from 40-50-60 will work but I would use a 60 amp...
Some of your points are correct some are vastly off base. In nuclear deregulated power markets EVs are a cheap mode of transportation with as little as 8 dollar charging and top offs. America needs to produce their own chips but they don't, China and rest of the global markets are switching to...
V2g is okay and so are power walls. Personally I would use 2x 27 kwh solar panels hooked up to a power wall via a level 2 Enel juice box and charge up at night during off peak hours.
Most all manufacturers warranty the batteries to 10 years and will pro rate them if they go out earlier. Yeah...
