hello geographical neighbor
I don't know if you've been up jebel shams (the old route not the new one) - especially after its stormed for a few days
it gets tricky on large adventure bikes.. wouldn't want to haul a trailer on that route
I mean I could but it would double the amount of time to...
Hi doc
When I turn off my car - it prompts me to select either enhanced or basic security.
I know I can select one of the options permanently and turn off the prompt every time I turn off the car - but maybe the basic is perimeter only?
haha I completely visualized that
The KTM 790 adventure R is about 7.5 feet in length.
Using Pythagorean's theorem (no, I'm not a mathematician - just an incompetent accountant):
The diagonal leanth is 7.7 feet
So about 2.5 inches to spare - but those 2.5 inches would get used up by the...
Sorry that was a typo above.
Meant to write 'those look good'.
But some terrain will be very ascending, rocky, and slippery.
The idea of 500 lbs boucing on the hitch terrifies me.
Had I been in a hurry or the internet wasn't invented - I'd have done the same.
Used common sense but I wanted ideas and I got many from this thread.
I agree - a trailer is much more dangerous than truck bed.
Hence this thread.
Looks like the 2017-2019 Raptor tongue load is 500 lbs and the mid-size adventure is as light as 460 to as heavy as 510 lbs.
I'd use a motorcycle specific trailer If I was going to load heavier non-adventure bikes like a Goldwing or a Harley Davidson.
Nice deflector!
I have an 11.5 by 5.5 light weight trailer - but some areas would be rocky and I think just walking it up a ramp would be more or less the same as loading it onto the trailer.
Good idea
Thanks
I saw these angled wheel chocks called EZ chock from moto pro hq
These could work if the bike fits in diagonally - prefer diagonal so I can shut the tailgate
4H and standard mode
This clip wasn't the only bout of wheel-hop that day.
I'd say about 20 bouts of violent wheel hop that day.
But only that day.
I can see it being a symptom of overload because and not the cause as I trailered my side by side for about 1,200 miles (over many weekends)...
I only had wheel hop on one instance in the desert and had no load in the truck bed - just my 60 lb kid (not in the truck bed)
Thanks for the tips - will get to a weighing station and check tongue weight
I had a 2017 500 EXC 6 days
I had a scott's damper and tweaked compression/rebound just right over rock gardens - it was akin to riding on a cloud
such a meaningful photo - hope to get an enduro again and ride with my kids
I dun know man - but I think a 380 lb bike isn't too hard to handle on a 10 foot double ramp?
trailers are easy and I have a nice light weight one but its another thing affecting your driving
let alone the added weight and impeded maneuverability
Also, I forgot to mention.
One of my trips...
Yeah good point
Thought of that and I'm sure I'll find some hill to off load when im in the mountains or valley area
Alas, gentrified neighborhoods and sea-level geography yield very little opportunities
guys
I'm cooperating with a governmental all-day curfew
Theres not really much to do these days - lets all be nice...
I've washed my mountain bike
Changed out 10 light bulbs
5 weren't even burned out !!!
