GooseTuned Gen 3 - Baseline Dyno Runs vs Gen 2 Baseline!

Hey, @GooseTuned, do you think the 3.5 (stock Gen3) would tolerate E30? It came up in another thread and could be a way to save a little $ from straight pump premium while retaining octane, no?

    It’s just slow

If I daily drove my Raptor, I would consider mixing in some E85. I don’t know if anyone has tried this yet on a stock Gen3, but my understanding is the fuel system can safely tolerate up to about E30. Price and availability vary by location, of course.

    R in the wild!

No reason for a smaller fuel tank. If someone needs to be as light as possible, just put in less gas. Keep the 36 gal tank and the truck will still have decent range when needed and a range advantage over TRX. I would actually prefer they try to squeeze a few more gallons into it. Maybe 40...

    Ticking at idle

The cold start ticking (Gen 3) may be a small exhaust leak from around the clamp on the horizontal pipe up near the front of the truck. I discovered this on mine when I saw a few drops of water (condensation) on the garage floor after a cold start one day. The clamp is plenty tight and it...

Possible black gen 3…how would I keep the paint looking pristine?

I’ve had two new vehicles ceramic coated this year. Never have previously. My 2021 white Raptor and wife’s 2022 black Stinger GT2. So far so good. The black is still a bit of a PITA, but was expecting that. I have noticed both vehicles accumulate a TON of static electricity and are magnets...

    BlueCruise Refund

They make the process convoluted and confusing with the hope that some will either be unaware or unwilling to follow through. Saves them $. This approach is becoming more and more common in all types of business in America.

    Spy shots with no camouflage…

Strongly disagree. I love my 37 with the 3.5EB and the near 600 mile range on a full tank. I think, if anything, the “R” would be better suited to a more street oriented, lower setup to compete with the TRX. The power of the “R” won’t make it better off-road in 99.9% of scenarios. Mostly...

Damage when RPG 1.5” Collars installed. Is this worth escalating with the installer?

I wouldn’t be thrilled with the shop that did this, but to answer your question OP, it appears to be just cosmetic. It would take a different type of force/cutting/grinding to functionally compromise those springs. Have them touch up the chipped paint/powder coat or diy. The shock bodies are...

Got to check out some Bronco Raptors today

Yeah those flairs look terrible. If it’s a Raptor, it should have wider, composite quarters like the truck and keep the normal Bronco flairs or something similar.

Received Raptor R information from the dealer I bought my 37 from.

Add 1800 lbs, huge tires and significantly increased drag to that car and that’s essentially what Raptor R will be. Unless it’s de-tuned to some extent, hybridized, or has cylinder deactivation, the truck will be lucky to see 10 mpg on a good day.

    Water dripping from exhaust connector?

My truck has the same. 2021 37”. Clamp is super tight already. I think it’s normal and now that it’s been pointed out, I’m sure others will confirm/validate. Goes away when hot.

    Possible Raptor R Spy pics.

The S/C 5.2 is pushing close to 150 HP per liter which is flirting with being off the scale for reliability and driveability. The 3.5 EB isn’t very far behind at nearly 130, which is what I would consider the sweet spot. It can be pushed to over 180, like the GT but that’s a hand built...

This sub-forum is for the Raptor R.... not the basic 21+ Raptor

Shouldn’t need a separate forum for the “R”. It’s the same truck with a different engine.

    R Production may be starting

Seems silly to me to have a separate forum for the “R”, but I posted this there: https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/possible-hint-of-raptor-r-production.91684/

    "Downgrading" from 37's to 35's

What I meant was you will be giving up the ground clearance advantage that the 37” setup has. Not “losing” travel, per se. So, in essence, you would have the reduced ground clearance with the 35’s and reduced travel of the 37 truck chassis. Essentially the “worst” of both worlds for lack of a...
