For the second year in a row ICON Vehicle Dynamics has been fortunate enough to attend the The SnoBall 500 winter Raptor Run/driving experience. During this run our group of Raptors encountered everything that Mother Nature and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan could throw at it. There were...
Both front and rear OEM shocks have a charge port.
I can not speak about the OEM shocks as I do not know, but the charge ports we MFG (or the rubber plugs) can take about 3-4 charges before we recommend replacing. We do not actually use these on our Raptor 3.0's, we use them in our 2.0 & 2.5"...
We sell a pretty inexpensive tool for these type of nitrogen fill points....here is a link to check it out further.
252004 - icon charge port nitrogen needle fill tool
#1 - I do not know what brand Raptor 3.0 shocks you have but they all are factory charged around 200psi, 100 is def to low. Ultimately this is going to lead to shock cavitation and a sub-par performing shock during use.
#2 IF King is calling for 150psi it needs to be set there. Same reasoning...
No raptor shock should be run at that low of pressure, the shock will cavitate if you do. Performance will be bad. If you are talking about ride quality, the nitrogen pressure has very little to do with that.
Still a long way to go being that was earlier today in Colorado...I do not envy Dylan and Jeremy who are attending making this drive. Good thing is they throwing the truck on a transport after the event and flying home.
Sorry OP for taking it off topic....my bad there. Cornflakes have passed!
BigJ we should grab a beer sometime....love to have you come by and chat on some things....keep it in mind if you are ever in the area.
Apparently some one pissed in my corn flakes this morning before I even woke up....
Here is what Dylan said "The tests are accurate and well done just not to the same stroke length. That is why it was assumed there were 2 zones in each direction when actually there are 3. (although you can...
I never insinuated that "BigJ" was to blame or questioned his integrity.....he just posted the info as far as I am concerned. What I was insinuating is that its pretty hard to measure a shock wrong, and be off by a 1/2" when you are trying to be so specific as was listed. In that same thread it...
The ICON Rear shock measurements are
29.025 Ext
17.875 Col
11.15 Travel
Joe these are the front shock measurements and I believe the OP is looking for the Rears......
So anyone reading can be clear, the info above was originally from a bias source (nothing to do with Joe) and is...
No, not just yet. You are looking at development in progress as of Friday when that picture was taken. We are just getting the upper mounts from Camburg now to finalize the shock design (tube placement and lengths), and then parts will head to the CNC machines in the back ground.
I will keep...
