That's funny I just Cut mine past the muffler and turned it down right before the axle, and was thinking about asking the same question. I haven't been able to find anything about anyone else going from a resenator to not on the mbrp system. Although I think the actual turndown kit from mbrp...
White screw (I think) headed south on interstate 81 out of Watertown. First real modded looking raptor I have seen around here. Looked like a 2011 with the mud bedside graphics, also had the front grille ford painted red with a few other red accents, also it had a roof rack/chase rack combo...
You might be right I just went out and fired her up and the radiator cap started hissing and leaking. Good call, question is where do I get a new one since I have to pick my girlfriend at the airport in a couple hours
Yeah I will try that, I was just letting it cool down to see how much coolant I really lost. It looks like about half an inch or so, about what was on the ground. So it definitely did it when I turned the truck off and went inside for about 10 mins. This may be completely irrelevant but does...
Hey guy's I just got home from about a 25 mile drive and parked the truck in the garage and came back out 10 minutes later, and noticed a puddle under the truck. It turned out to be coolant, and I tracked it back to the radiator reservoir. But it doesn't look cracked it looked like it was as...
Yeah there lots of people on here that have blacked them out, unfortunately I don't seem to have any good pics of mine on my iPad, just one of me out on the trails today, I kept the chrome lugs and center cap so that they stick out and provide some contrast. Mine are just plasti-dipped. And have...
wow duh, why didn't I think of the wing nuts. Thanks
And yes it's a 2012 and rusting like a SOB, guess I should have done the undercoating. My stock shocks are trashed, but I only put them on in the winter to try and keep the 3.0s decent. Still have to scrub and polish the 3.0s when I take them...
Just wanted to say thanks to TheJoker for the inspiration to pull of this cheap and easy mod. Although I feel like I might have cheated when I went to lowes and bought everything I needed instead of using what I had laying around. First I went in and found some brackets that were 10" long with...
X2 on the flimsy rough country mounts. And I am also getting some whistle from my 54" bar, but only when there is a significant cross wind. Will need to try the rubber strip trick.
Upstate ny. With my 3rd winter under my belt I just got it power washed yesterday and the whole bottom looks like shit. Had rusting rockers after the second winter. Guess I am just lucky:everything:
I did the exact same thing to my truck late last summer, but haven't had a chance to get the truck offroad much yet. I put a new leaf between the second and third leafs. How has yours held up and how is it working offroad. My setup is definitely stiffer on road then the "stock" national SD's ...
Is there a special jumper that you should use on AGM batteries versus standard batteries or are they all the same. I know there are special battery chargers for AGMs.
Its a cheap 54'' ebay bar on some rough country mounts. Actually pretty happy with the setup for about 400 bucks. The bar is bright enough with a decent throw. And the mounts are pretty solid once you get everything tightened up. Not sure the mounts would survive a baja or anything like that...
Wow I would say you are lucky they decided to replace your tires. I took my truck in with only 2000 miles on it with an alignment issue and they just went and got the tire warranty pamphlet and showed me where ford is not responsible for the tires any more, and that I should contact the tire...
Installed a cheap ebay 54" curved led light bar on some rough country mounting brackets. Light bar seems to be of good quality, time will tell. Not sure how the mounts will hold up, they dont seem like they would stand up to hardcore offroading. There is also a good amount of wind noise, but...
