X3 for General ATX, the KO2’s are not the same as they use to be lately. Wish I had replaced my nicely worn ATX’s that had 68k on them with new ones instead of going back to stock KO2’s.
I used “milking” as it still works but I know it’s not 100% but I’m still going. My power steering will sometimes growl when turning towards the steering limit just before hitting the stops like after an outing or a road trip so I’m just waiting for it to finally crap out. My lead frame scenario...
I remember a guy with an F350 had that issue on the drivers side and it was a kinked drain line he fixed with weed eater string. Not sure if the link to YouTube will work or if it s a 2015, but the string is a good idea.
Are you referring to the remote start attempt where it starts to crank, then fails? And once it fails it won’t remote start? Mine sometimes does that and I learned it’s usually because I wasn’t close enough to the truck. The problem is once it fails I have to key start it and even after that it...
I’m still leaning on your fuse 27 because yours cranked over. The key issue will give you a no crank at all. My understanding is the fuel inlet will also cause it to shut off at idle. Cleaning the fuel inlet flapper valve usually will correct it for a while. I use some Lucas fuel conditioner and...
I’m not sure it’s the same thing or if you have replaced your key, but sometimes when I turn the key I get the no crank. It’s been doing for so many years now that I’m completely use to it. A couple of things to note about it for me. 1 it always cranks by the third try and 2 if it no cranks and...
Actually I think WHERE you live has a huge influence on battery life. My northern family members get several more years out of their vehicle battery than I do down south that’s for sure.
Is it just me or are batteries just not being made to last anymore. When I was a kid, my Dad swore by Die Hard, and they would last 12 years or more. Now I’m lucky to get 5 years out of one. Oh, and I haven’t used Die Hard since the early 90’s, I was just using them as an example. I’m sure it...
I had a similar experience after replacing a dead battery, turns out it was the park indicator switch, which leaves on the dash lights and drains the battery because it doesn’t recognize the the truck is in Park. A quick check is to see if you have an orange P when it’s in park (& the dash...
I’m at 263xxx and have only done preventive maintenance to date. There have been a few exceptions like park indicator, third brake light, and a blend door actuator, but the extent you have done for your 150k service is most impressive!
