A start for our friend Dave..

Yes. We designed this kit to work with the OEM shock length in mind. The 3.0" Fox shocks that Dave is running are the same ones he has been running for over a year. Some valving changes and some tune time and they are good to go! Right!! Thanks!

    Long travel, why?

[/COLOR] Glad this was started... Here is my statement that I added in the other thread.. You should figure not only the cost of the LT but a few other items to go with it.. Front - LT kit Coil overs Bypass shocks Bumps Axles or complete RCV asy Fiberglass Professional install Rear- At the...

We have RCV's that are specific to our kit.. We also had RCV's built for our +0 wider kits. No issues with ours..

Long Travel Shootout - ON TOPIC

The truck in my pictures is running the factory cv's. If you look at the pics you will see we took shots with the angles we are keeping with them. No issues with our set up. We do offer the RCV set up as an option with our kit, not so much for the greater angle that is available with them but...

I would like to keep it at this... Just because it performs great on a computer screen doesn't always equate to perfection on the truck.

Long Travel Shootout - ON TOPIC

Ours can be. Just a new top plate welded back into the top of the OEM coil bucket. We spent over a year, and then some, working with Foutz on the original +0" wider kit and then we did a re-design to a +2" kit. This +2" kit was designed as a SDHQ LT kit. It looks like the kit on that truck...

Long Travel Shootout - ON TOPIC

It's not essential but it is a good upgrade. There are actually quite a few stock vehicles that don't have matching front and rear track widths. The only thing you may notice is a little difference in tracking on a trail that is carved out, deep snow or something similar.

Long Travel Shootout - ON TOPIC

Here are a couple shots of ours, travel #'s and axle angles.. We removed the coil overs and decharged the by-pass and bump. At full droop with charged shocks / coil overs installed and wheels/tires installed it would droop out a bit more because of the weight. This should be enough...

Long Travel Shootout - ON TOPIC

This might not be the correct thread for this discussion... But IMO long travel suspension is not really needed for the masses... There are a lot more things to take into account if you are planning on adding long travel because you are drawn to the foot and a half wheel travel numbers. IMO the...

    Outlaw vs RPG vs Brenthel

Scrub radius (The scrub radius will only really be felt in a slow, tight turn.) is one of many things to look at.. Some others to consider- Instant center Roll center SAI Anti dive / brake dive Camber change Bump steer... and more

    Outlaw vs RPG vs Brenthel

Wasn't this thread about some of the differences of the LT kits on the market for the Raptor? Pros, cons, differences, builders, etc? Chris, Pardon me if I come across as a negative nancy.. But why would you want SDHQ, RPG, Brenthal, Outlaw & ADD all involved in a group build? Normally...

    Outlaw vs RPG vs Brenthel

I don't have any complaints nor am I asking for any special treatment.. My response was more tongue in cheek towards Bubba J and I did not mean it to be as broad as a statement as I made it out to be. That being said... Long travel discussion please continue... I do not want to be the scape goat...

    Outlaw vs RPG vs Brenthel

Gotcha... I was attempting to provide some info/input to this thread... I might come off a bit harsh at times, but realistically none of my discussion or points are off target. Unfortunately the powers that be around this place aren't some of my biggest fans.. LOL IMO this thread seems...

    Outlaw vs RPG vs Brenthel

LOL.. Damm me for trying to help make sense of things! I'm pretty sure that I brought up a few different things that could make for some interesting discussion. For those that feel like it was me starting shit so be it.. For others, there is plenty to discuss.

    Outlaw vs RPG vs Brenthel

Not really a new term... As I "hinted" in my post above, there are many different ways people measure travel. I feel that when you advertise travel #'s you should be speaking in terms of "real" or "usable" travel. Would my kit sound better if we decided to claim 18" or 19" of travel? Yup and I...

    Outlaw vs RPG vs Brenthel

LOL... I'm alway the ass for pointing that stuff out.. Glad to see that I'm not the only one that catches the "sick bra, gnar gnar, monster & hair gel" sales wording... The upper arm was designed to be beefy enough to handle a bump if that was the set up they wanted to go with. ----------...

    Kings VS Icon

Well so much for my two cons that I listed... LOL But seriously, Icon has the best application specific stuff on the market hands down.. We have carried their line from day one because of the quality and the passion that they have in all their goods.. If you guys have any questions, need...

    Kings VS Icon

LOL... I was trying to play nice... I did forget to add the rear shock lower shin guard that Icon includes as a Pro for Icon. Also, I just got the call that the lower cups that Icon built for us is done and ready for us to try w/ the RCV axles... So that con for Icon will be erased shortly!

    Kings VS Icon

Here is some info and a thread we started last year on the Icons http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f40/icon-suspension-%40-sdhq-4903/ All three of the big brands have some differences that go deeper than just the a color choice. I'm sure more can be added to these pros & cons.. But these are...

    Outlaw vs RPG vs Brenthel

Having been around for quite a few years I have seen how it is almost common place for companies to fudge travel #'s in an attempt to push sales their way. Now I am not saying that this is happening here, but anyone who does not understand or acknowledge this is kinda in the dark. We advertise...
