And the added bull bars to decrease the approach angle.
Hell, those ass ugly things don't look good on a basic 4X4, not to mention a Raptor - sacrilege.
A work in progress would include the removal of the bull bars!
I went with RPG because they had a progressive upgrade system (Stages) that allowed for a method to "build-as-you-go".
And, they did feedback testing on their products that was easily accessible to review.
Also, they did custom setting of the shocks for your particular truck (use, bed load...
I've seen a few custom cars that were black with a slight amount of bright green trim that looked really sharp.
I just think the green wheels are too much.
A better look would have been green outlined "FORD" on the grill and only green the rim (and maybe the barrel) of the wheel. Leave the...
What size are those wheels??
IMO, they over did the white. White makes for a great canvas for some creative graphics, but he merely increased the size of the "canvas". Wheels are absolutely too much!
The shop that installed all my suspension and front bumper is in Jacksonville, FL, about 3 1/2 to 4 hours away. But it will cost more than a beer or two. They are fairly reasonably priced. Right off the east loop of I-295.
The primary focus of functionality of the Raptor is it's off-road capability.
It has longer control arms that allows greater suspension travel.
The tire of most any car is an integral component of its suspension.
The greater the amount of rubber between the rim of the wheel and the road, the...
Seems you will definitely need HD leaf springs for carrying loads off road. Might as well make them progressive springs.
Might need a rear frame brace too for off-road loads. And air bump stops add a little assurance, for added peace of mind. I chose RPG for my suspension upgrades, but there...
The hood decal was one of the three options I ordered for my Raptor.
I like its looks, but I believe its greatest value is the functionality. The matte finish of the decal doesn't reflect sunlight like a gloss paint finish. Much easier on the eyes.
Normally, I ask the dealer not to attempt detailing unless that person has a show car of his own. Also, I ask that they don't bother with their ads stuck to my vehicle, because it's the first item on my agenda to remove when it arrives at home.
I can wash/polish/detail my own vehicle.
Why not do that in stages. Remove the muffler, leaving the resonator, first and see how you like that.
If you want louder, next remove the resonator.
I like your idea of using the existing tips. You might even consider replacing them with some double walled tips (for looks).
I'd think not very likely.
But suppose the Raptor would at some time have a collectible value. How many years might it be before it reaches current MSRP? Even then how would today's value of the dollar relate to the value of the dollar when it reaches current MSRP?
If it makes you feel good...
I think I like the aluminum wheel look on your matte black Raptor better than I would the total black look. But of course, it's your choice. It'll still look great with blacked out wheels.
I'm a big fan of aftermarket hoods.
I'm not too sure about that hood.
Plus, I need to see it on a Raptor (and not a shiny black one - too hard to see contours on black especially if it's shiny)
I went through four different hoods for my Magnum before I settled on this one:
The white...
Though they do seem more appropriate on a Super Duty, but then again, this is the Raptor forum.
Wonder if there's a counter-balance bumper on the rear...
