    Fender trimming Gen 1

I don’t understand why everyone seems to be cutting the living hell out of their fenders to run 37’s. I have no rubbing whatsoever even when jumping offroad and have done no cutting of anything. In my opinion going to mid perch or higher makes a lot more sense than cutting all that stuff out and...

Rebuilding shocks at 116k..what else should be replaced usually?

I would replace your upper ball joints and control arm bushings while the shocks are out (if they show signs of age) as the shocks need to come off to get the UCA off. Otherwise, having the shocks out doesn’t really help with anything else

Help needed How to rebuild fox 3.0

You should be able to Google “fox 3.0” rebuild and find a write up or video covering how to do it. The process should be essentially the same as any other Fox shock

Icon Multi-Rate Rear Leaf Spring Kit

There does seem to be some variation in height between sets of springs. When I installed the Icon springs as they came from icon (extra leaf not installed) the back was lifted almost 2 inches. I knew I was doing an aftermarket shackle anyway in order to get rid of the stock bushings and would...

GEN 1 Can someone tell me what this is?

Unless you’re driving through water and sucking debris up into your axle, it’s not going to grenade anything to drive on that. It never hurts to clean parts off and give it some time and see what happens with it.

    2010 Raptor Catch Can

The 5.4 is port injection meaning it really doesn’t need a catch can. Catch cans are meant for direct injection engines where there aren’t injectors in the intake runners to clean carbon off the valves.

GEN 1 Can someone tell me what this is?

I honestly wouldn’t even worry about it. Until you have fluid dripping on the ground, it’s not going to impact driving the truck.

    GEN 2 Icon vs Deavers

I orf I ordered my set from Poly Performance in October and they shipped next day...I can’t recommend them highly enough

    GEN 2 Icon vs Deavers

I have the icon RXT springs with King 3.0’s up front and icon 18” bypasses in my bed cage and the truck does beautifully with the weight of the bed cage and 200 pounds of tools and gear in the bed that I carry at all times. I just towed my 6k lb travel trailer 6 hours to San Felipe and it only...

    Ford Racing Exhaust

My truck has the Ford Racing exhaust. I can get you an exhaust clip if you want. It has a nice tone and isn’t too loud

Gen-1 Front Control arm bushing questions

Most any mechanic will press the old bushings out and the new bushings in for a nominal fee...I paid a shop down the street something like $30 or $40 per arm for all new bushings to be pressed in and out which was well worth it when considering the hours it would’ve taken me to try to do it with...

The right way to install GEN 2 Shocks on a GEN 1!

Don’t want to hijack your thread, but about the bypass noise, I have 18” icon bypasses and they’re dead silent. Icon doesn’t make custom length bypasses anymore but they do sell all the individual components so maybe someone that wants a quiet bypass could use the icon valves on their Fox or...

    GEN 1 Recon Headlights

Assuming they use oem-style bulbs, you can replace them with LED’s for a nominal amount of money. On my last truck I had $50 Amazon LED’s in there and they were unbelievably bright. There are LED’s that are direct fit and use the stock connector harness

some help needed with pricing my truck

Agreed. I was more commenting on the fact that these factors are also causing similar price increases economy-wide, making a replacement purchase just as expensive as the sale of the current “appreciated” asset.

    So Cal Help?

I don’t live in SoCal, but can still try to walk you through it. It’s really not complicated at all and you need no other tools than some sockets and the collar wrenches. I took my kings off, set them in a vise, and had them adjusted and back on in 5 minutes. You should be able to rent the...

Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizer?

I should’ve clarified. What I meant was that they aren’t used on a modern rack and pinion IFS setup like the raptors use.

some help needed with pricing my truck

Really sick truck, but something nobody else has mentioned is the fact that it’s really not the raptor market that has appreciated, it’s that the value of the dollar has massively depreciated across the board. That means that not only will you sell your truck for more money, but it will also...

    Method MR313 17x8.5 +00 Titanium $500 (qty 4)

My kings are currently set at about where top perch would be, or maybe a little higher, and my icons lift it about an inch in back...I’m assuming not enough lift for 0 offset

    Method MR313 17x8.5 +00 Titanium $500 (qty 4)

I am interested but am worried about fitment...I have 37’s with stock fenders and currently don’t get rubbing anywhere. Don’t want to buy fenders just to fit 0 offset wheels. Will these push out enough so that they’ll hit the stock fenders at full compression?

GEN 2 So many new goodies

My point wasn’t that he needs to go buy a complete tie rod; my point was that it’s statistically extremely unlikely to have a failure at the outer tie rod, given that it’s the thickest section and the laws of physics state that the section of a lever closest to the fulcrum is under the least...

    King 3.0 front

Crazy how much they up charge for Gen 2 parts...I paid $2500 out the door for the exact same kings for my Gen 1...sure they’re IBP but that can’t be worth $900

HELP! GEN 1 Shock Part Numbers

Ford only uses AL3Z or BL3Z prefixes for all the raptor parts. The ASH prefix is either a different manufacturer’s nomenclature or isn’t a raptor part. From looking at the official Ford parts diagram for the raptor, the OEM front shocks start with the BL3Z prefix

GEN 2 So many new goodies

Only doing outer tie rods defeats the purpose of strengthening them as the inner tie rod is the thinnest section anyway
