Any idea what the black coating is? I’ve had some black lugs that look terrible after just a couple wheel rotations. Wondering if these will hold up? Thanks!
I'll be surprised if it does apply to Raptor's. But it can't hurt to ask.
On the CarsDirect site that posted about this (link below), they state it doesn't apply to "Mustang, all-new Bronco, and F150 Tremor", but no mention of Raptor...
Just texting back & forth with my dealer. He said this should apply to my order as it's a F150 and they had the allocation with my '21 order placed against it. He's reaching out to their Ford regional rep to confirm.
So maybe my dealer really had an allocation for me and has been telling the truth - see link below.
Now let's see what the dealer says about this program and Raptors. I'll gladly take $3,500 off my 22 order...
They said they had it. Their regional Ford rep told them last Monday while he was at the dealership that the '21 scheduling had been balanced out and their remaining one allocation (my '21 order) wasn't going to get built. And we needed to put mine in as a '22. So the order went in on...
Let's see who can have the most unscheduled clean open orders for different model year trucks with Ford. Ha! Not a contest I want to win.
My original order from 6/11 still shows unscheduled clean and so does my new 22 order from 10/6. Both with the same dealer.
I feel for you... same thing happened to me. I ordered a lead foot on 6/10 and have been unscheduled/clean ever since, heck the order still shows that status. My dealer had the allocations (or so they said) and Ford chose to build all the dealers stocks orders, and not mine. Zone rep pulled...
I bet those green & purple marker marks should be on the other side too. Those are typically correct assembly or torque confirmations. Maybe in this case they are used for final alignment confirmation and that side got skipped on accident. It would be interesting to see if other trucks that...
That would be great... to receive a '22 truck while still in calendar year 2021 (or even early '22). Apparently Ford starts building '22's in Nov. At this point, that sounds better than getting a '21 truck in '22. So there's that silver lining!
My lead foot '21 order never got built. Long story. But now I've got a '22 in black on order. Hoping to join you guys baking in the sun in black trucks in the South soon.
According to my dealer’s Ford rep scheduling for 21 is done. So now I’m in line for a 22. But my 21 order lives on as unscheduled.
Edit: my dealer said they had three allocations and they are only getting two trucks. Sounds like some allocations were not guaranteed.
It all makes for a...
My dealers Ford rep told them yesterday the 2021 scheduling has been balanced out. Meaning it's all done and if it isn't schedule now, it's not going to be. So my lead foot order isn't happening, despite still being unscheduled clean since mid June. Go buy that truck! And if you don't and it...
