So I'm on the fence on a Gen 3. Currently have a Gen 2, 2017, 48K miles. I think 17/18 have a tad more to gain then 19/20 guys. But even then is it worth the jump? I'm close to paying my truck off (year) but if I jump to Gen 3 I'd essential have the same payment just tack on a few more...
I'm planning our route as we speak and looking for the places we will stay. So two things are must, dogs allowed and good internet. So far I'm not having issues but at the same time I have back plans for each place we will go.
We would primarly live in Air BNBs (or short term rental) 4-6 weeks at a time. The reason is my wife works remotely she needs a good work space. Van or truck working remotely for her would be tough. My question is for traveling between points which would make more sense?
If I did larger truck I would just go with the Van. I think if I go with icon stage 3 leafts and upgrade shocks I should be fine for the weight we will carry.
Intresting, never even thought of that on the taxes! Thanks for the heads up!
We have been married for 18 years so we have pretty...
We really won't live out of either (truck or van). 90% of our time will be living out of Airbnb with some light camping. I just thinking we need to have a set up that we can lay or heads down if we run into longer travel time between two points during our travel. But like you said the Van...
We plan on selling everything. The only thing we will keep is some seasonal clothing which will stay with family until we need it (swap out). The money from our house will be set aside for whenever we settle back down. I agree about the Sprinter as a DD so that is a wash. I just really love...
We are planning on renting a van for a week as a dry run. The debt from the van would be some what minimal compared to our current monthly debts so I feel we can handle it and be in a good spot. However I see the point you are making trust me it makes sense plus I really love my truck too...
Sorry if this is long winded. My wife and I are planning on selling all of our possessions (house, cars, furnitue, valubles, etc) and travel/explore the US for a year (or longer). Our plan is to stay in Air bnb for 4-6 weeks at a time and then move on to the next city. While we are in each...
Not much hauling but do carry gear for trail riding and camping. I was thinking I would sell the Eibachs after I get race shocks if I went all springs first.
So I have been looking at replacing my shock. I was thinking rebuilds from TSW because stock Fox 17/18 shocks are hard to find new. However I'm not sold on rebuilds because of durability and quality.
So now I'm thinking the Race Series 3.0s (non live valve) but I also have been thinking...
