I've owned them both. If I had to choose, I'd pick the Retrax. The Retrax is easier to open, IMO. It's also nice that you can lock the Retrax, even though I've never actually done that. Retrax also has the built in rail system for attaching racks and crossbars. The only drawback to the Retrax...

#1 You want the bed to flex a little. #2 The rack is a rigid structure and will be a more effective stiffener than those stiffeners.

Those things are completely unnecessary, and if you understand how a gusset is designed, you will know that they accomplish nothing.

That won't be something we plan on doing, not enough demand, and I would question the strength of that configuration. I would not want a tonneau cover supporting my bed rack unless it was a Diamondback.

Probably somewhere, but there's not much to see. Retrax covers are very "flat", and our brackets simply fit under the cover and attach to the bed with our No Drill Clips.

Bakflip is the most popular brand of cover to be used with our racks. I have one on my Raptor with our ALUMAX rack.
