The 4.5 are made to support the weight of ADD bed cage/bypass rack. I have them on my truck. With the taller shackle, spring, rack and shocks. I have 18+ inches of rear travel. If you don't have at least 350-400 extra pounds running in the bed they will probably be close to 2-2.5 inches...
