I'm probably going to do this on Monday and want to make sure I have the facts straight before diving into it. I have a 2013 with puddle lights so I should tap into the thin yellow/green wire on both the driver and passenger doors for the positive wire and then ground out somewhere on the door...

We're having the same problem with our 2013. They replaced the front driver hub/actuator/and shaft. It was fine for a little while but the passenger side starting having the same problem. It's in the shop right now getting torn apart. They are at least replacing the actuator and hub. If...

We had the same problem with our 2013, right from the show room floor. They replaced the door latch mechanism and haven't had a problem since.

I'm not sure if it was the solenoid or not that caused the issue but the actuator was busted and some other things were busted at the same time. They replaced the actuator, hub, and something else (can't remember right now).

As for your first issue, if you haven't found the answer yet, mine was doing that and it ended up being the actuator was busted. Took it in and had it covered under warranty.

When I had my 2010 I never updated the Sync system and I never had any issues with it. All the features continued to work. I would find the change log for the software update and figure out if the new features are worth the $90.

I've used both and Pandora is much better (at least over Android). I actually stream more podcasts over bluetooth than actual Pandora since I have Sirius.

They only time I've ran into that problem was over the winter months when the temperature was below freezing. When the hard drive got warmed up it was recognized again. Other than that, no issues. The indexing only takes about 5-10 seconds every time I start the truck now.

I'll wait for the write up. Depending on what's involved I may rig something like this up myself. It's a great idea.
