Notching the frame will give you additional up travel but requires major mods, if you gain another few inches of up travel you could have 18+ travel potentially- check out Jarrett's build he notched and braced the frame but has no bed floor or inner fenders in the way. Tires start hitting ect...
The compression tubes are high and low speed. The long one is high and short is low. Most of the time on the street you won't get into the high speed zone of the shock so leave it all the way open and when u do if its set stiff you will feel it. Offroad is a totally different game. . You can...
3.5 s would be a hard fit and the kit is set up for a 12 travel shock which gives you 16in of travel. The travel is gained in the down stroke which helps keep the tires on the ground. the up travel is regulated by the bumpstops. To get any more travel you will have to notch the frame and rework...
Update!!!
Here is the final design of the levers along with the lever mounts. Still waiting on springs so offroad testing is delayed until next week. All the templates are at the laser cutter now to be cut. Street testing has gone perfect.
Unfortunately this wont help with wheel hop since it is generated from soft spring rates and leverage on the springs. This design is intended to maximize the travel potential in the rear. It will work with any spring (national or deaver), I to have standard nationals that are the newer design...
there are but it is usually a very large lever that also carriers the coilover and bypass shock. If you google it some cool pics will come up. there are a few prerunnner kits out there for tacos and rangers but the set ups are totally different- concept is the same though
Pins come right out and the cage lifts out

we can make adjustments for sure to fit each persons needs. Just pm me whats needed and we can put the pricing together. I should have a few ready to go in the next...
this is my solution. get them out of harms way, get 16in of travel and not cut the bed. Im tired of beating up my icons- last run I slammed the lowwer mount on a rock and broke the guard into peices.
I built a couple of these a while ago and now we are gearing up to start producing them. I wanted to be able to fit everything under the bed cover. Details:
Made from 1 1/2 .090 wall dom
Removable and held in with pins
Can hold a 37in tire with Tbar Screw and can be locked in
Holds 20 gal...
Update
Here are some sneak peak pics of the design updates. Still finishing the lever mounts but I went a totally different direction with them. All 1/4 plate press bent. Levers are also updated and almost done- just need to add the outside plating. The forward mounts are also different-...
The shock itself operatates the same in any position. Pressure behind fluid allows for this. This is why you see shocks running shaft up and shafts down. The only thing that is changing is the amount of leverage on the shock which effects the valving efficiancy slightly. For every inch the...
Wow this thread got busy.... To answer some of the questions posted:
This is designed to work with national or deaver springs +2 or 3 and 3.0 triple bypass shocks that are adjustable. Poly bushings in the springs and shackle are a must to get all the travel and the kit will include a new...
They are much more protected than in the stock location for sure- the way they are mounted the only thing slightly exsposed is the resevoir. I am considering a small shield to add some protection though, just dont want to make it to hard to adjust the rebound
