yes but a stock tune is useless with these cams/heads although right now so are the heads and cams. there were no issues with the hp tune on the truck, pulled the camper 1000 miles last year and was fine daily driving.
still no call from livernois. did confirm that the combustion chambers are not ported. They guy i spoke with was concerned about the power loss but said i would need to talk to a calibrator for help.
when i spoke with livernois both before and after they told me even with it being N/A there would be gains. The shop that did the install and i are both fine with livernois remote tuning the truck with their software. the shop said they can send over data logging files and is willing to work...
On a NA application with the Stage 1 kit you can see 30 to 50 rwhp gain with Tune and headers. (This is with 35" tires)
The Stage 3 Heads and Cam setup shines when you add a Supercharger though.
so basically the guy i talked to was just talking shit and more interested in a sale then being...
Same dyno has been used for all testing. The afr was showing no more fuel was needed at WOT. Some adjustments were needed at idle and cruise.
After talking to two other engine builders it just seems like static compression was lowered. We forgot to take photos of the combustion chambers to...
so im better off removing these heads and selling them?
I spoke with Livernois when i was thinking about buying them and told them the goal of the truck and what it had done. Guess these are a waste and a whipple would have been smarter.
My truck is a 2016 f260 6.2 which had S&B intake, stainless works long tubes and magnaflow exhaust tuned on 93 prior to getting the heads and cam package installed. Last time on the same dyno truck made 354.53whp/388.67wtq. After that dyno i did have larger tires installed. went from 275/70/r18...
yeah im just confused was hoping for some decent gains. the only codes the truck has are cat inefficiency codes and i got those after the header install. Shop rechecked the timing last night to be sure that wasnt an issue.
so it almost seems like static compression went down which is why no more fuel was needed at WOT. I cant remember if the combustion chambers are ported. The shop and i are even willing to have them remote tune the truck, maybe that is an option. shipping my truck to Michigan is not in the cards.
no clue, same octane gas and ethanol content was within 2-3%, similar weather and re calibrated the dyno just to be sure. there are no codes truck runs fine. But when the shop was talking to the tech at livernois he got no help other then good luck. The strangest part was at WOT there was no...
well the heads and cams are on the truck and the shop has been tuning it but the results are way off what i was hoping would be possible. I know the larger wheels and tires and gears would bring down the whp numbers. The shop said ive lost power. they are calling Livernois now to try and get...
maybe ill look into a different radiator then. there isnt much of a difference between the 6.2 and 6.7 radiators so i should be able to make it work. what about mishimoto trans coolers? or should i look somewhere else too.
i was wondering about trying to use something like mishimoto 6.7 powerstroke radiator and was planning on adding their auxiliary trans cooler. Guess the smart move would be to see how the truck is after the heads are on.
This may sound like a dumb question but i have been thinking about adding the whipple to my 250 later on down the line but wasnt sure what the limit of the stock bottom end is. The truck already has the usual intake, exhaust, headers and tune. Next month im getting my livernois stage 3 heads put...
