lol, nice try. Not gonna bite on the ego troll attempt.
Look, I personally think a Raptorized version of anything other than what's available today is a bad idea. Again, see my point of why the Raptor being unique is a boon to Ford.
If you think watering the brand down with a Raptor Escape...
My analogy holds plenty of water: How many Mustang owners do you know who regularly take their cars to the track? My point was that Ford offers performance versions, which serve to enhance the experience of the vehicle's purpose. The Expedition is no more an off-roading vehicle than the Fusion...
Sure, but 90%+ of people who buy Mustangs will never race them on a track. So does that mean Ford should start offering a Mustang version of the Fusion?
If OP is looking for a truly off-road capable SUV, his best bet is to hold out for the 202x Bronco (whenever Ford gets around to announcing...
Um, what?
Yes, the F150 and Expedition share the same chassis, but they are distinctly different vehicles with different purposes. No one (and I mean no one) buys an Expedition to off-road in. Sure, there are plenty of pavement princess Raptors, but the purpose of the truck is to off-road...
This varies by state though, so OP will need to be cognizant of whether an adjuster is trying to dodge the claim, or if their state's insurance laws don't require it.
There are plenty of posts here discussing the condition of the exhaust tips. I've heard that hitting them with tire cleaner works well.
As for the alignment, mine are also off. It's kind of annoying, but oh well... It wasn't something I was going to refuse delivery over, and I really don't...
The truck is incredibly capable at stock. And "must do mods" are also very subjective, but here's what I've done:
- Stubby antenna
- Husky mud flaps (front only)
- Hood decals
- Door decals
- Ceramic coating
I plan to eventually do:
- MPT tune
- Fog lights
- Dash cam
Not necessarily. Cars trying to avoid the crash could have side-swiped him from the right. That's happened to me a couple of time, and can potentially cause more costly damage than a head-on collision. Which is why I asked.
This guy is an idiot. Lemme ask you something, SL75: If Ford didn't throw the 5.2na from the GT350 in the Raptor, why would they add the SC variant?
And why would Ford put their new flagship Mustang's engine in another vehicle before the GT500 even hits the streets?
Back under the bridge with...
lol, so the fix is getting unlimited of what caused the problem? Hard pass.
Like others have said, get Ford proper CS involved, have one of their engineers or a tech you trust do an inspection at their cost. Any issues they should be financial culpable for.
Also insist on a 100k warranty...
Not a huge concern if you ask me. Tires are, outside of oil, the most replaceable/replaced part of a vehicle. No, they're not cheap... But all it is is a negotiating point, not a show stopper. Bring it up with the dealer and see if they'll drop the price a few hundred dollars.
Did that include paint correction? (e.g. Iron removal, clay barring, two stage cutting/polishing)
The cheapest quote I got was $1,500, and that was only a single stage of paint correction. I can't imagine a dealer being price competitive with everything that goes into full CC.
This is not an uncommon occurrence. You have to remember, the Raptor is an F150... And Ford produces literally thousands of these every day. So the shipping logistics can get complicated.
And you definitely cannot take delivery of the truck at the plant. Unfortunately, patience is a virtue...
Oh man, I hope Ford airs a new commercial: You have two cage choices, one military grade aluminum, the other carbon fiber. We're now going to release a 700lbs grizzly bear into the room; Pick a cage.
What an lolsy campaign by GM.
I cannot stress this enough: This guy is a troll. He's been on this forum under numerous other accounts, trying to convince everyone that the EB platform is crap, that they should alter their engines with damaging mods to fix non-existent problems, and plenty of other nonsense.
Hey Sasquatch...
I really wouldn't worry too much about this. Has the plastic oil pan had problems? Yes. But only a small percentage of them have presented as problematic. IF something happens, it sounds like you have a service plan behind it, so let them deal with it.
A 22% reduction in price for a Raptor...
I didn't say anything about the 2017's plastic oil pan being true or not. I just said you're a troll and your opinion should not carry any weight, which it shouldn't.
