    Fog Light Install Cost

If you are set on paying something $100 is more than fair. I installed KC LZR kit on my 2014 and the hardest part was hooking up the pass through wires by the glovebox. Mark

    Battery replace Gen 1

I went with an Odyssey 65-PC1750 in my 2014 and have been pleased with it. Not sure if it makes a difference but Odyssey makes a special charger for their batteries which is not as cheap as a battery tender. Mark

    Lucas fuel treatment anyone

I haven’t used this in my Raptor since it’s a pain to add anything to the tank with the cap less fueling. I have used it in the wife’s Shelby and her Cobra before and did see an improvement in fuel mileage after running it. I do think running anything less than premium in any Raptor is foolish...

    South Padre

We used to camp and fish on PINS all the time and a lot of the trash comes ashore. It would piss me off whenever we would come across and abandoned campsite which normally happened if a storm came through during the night and people bailed. We always made sure to bring out more trash than we...

    Wiper Blades

I have given up finding wiper blades that match the original ones and have settled on the Michelin blades from Costco. You can’t beat the price of $5.99 each. My factory blades lasted almost 5 years hence the reason for wanting the same type. Mark

GEN 2 Oddly Hazy Fender Flare

    4A Binding VS Tire Pressure

Costco does have a tendency to air up to a higher pressure than what I run. The only great thing about Costco is that they air your tires up with Nitrogen at no charge. Mark

    Issue! Battery Warning Light

I would stick with just changing the alternator and a new belt. The idler pulley and tensioner are pretty easy to replace if they start making noise. I would give them a spin with the belt off to make sure they spin freely. Mark

    Issue! Battery Warning Light

I think replacing your alternator should take care of your issue. On the wife’s mustang I thought the power steering pump was going out because of a whine that was worse when it was cold out. I swapped the PS fluid but the whine was still there. A couple of months later while driving a check...

Where do you park your raptor?

My 2014 was parked in the driveway for its first month in the family. When I purchased I wasn’t sure if it would fit height-wise but I knew the length was no problem since my F250 crew cab fit fine. When the wife’s Shelby GT became my daily the Raptor got a spot in the garage. Mark

Transmission & Transfer case fluid service

I did something similar to what BlueOvalF22 on my F250 I traded in for my Raptor. My F250 had a drain plug on the pan and I would drain and refill the pan amount every 6000 miles. At 90000 miles I disconnected the cooler return line and cycled the old fluid out while adding new fluid in. I...

Need a new case for my 2014 Key Fob

I picked up two factory key fobs for my 2014 off eBay for less than $50 bucks and my local dealership cut them for free. The only catch was if they messed them up they were not liable. It easy super easy to program as long as you have two working keys. Mark

    Need a new battery

I went with the Odyssey for my 2014 a couple of years ago and have been pleased with it. I also purchased the Odyssey battery charger in hopes that I get years of trouble free service. Mark

Oil change after only 1,200 miles???

My Raptor is on the once a year oil change plan as well as one of my Shelby GT’s. I put about 3000 miles a year and run full synthetic. On my Shelby I don’t even hit 1000 miles a year but still change it yearly. I have started reusing the oil out of it in my lawnmower which seems to like the...

    10k maintenance “The works”

The Works at my Quick Lane includes a synthetic blend oil change, tire rotation vehicle checkup including fluid top-off, battery test, filter check, belts & hoses test and a car wash. All this for only $21.95 which means the wife’s car gets to visit them. They have never washed it but I wouldn’t...

    License plate renewal

Texas. No property tax except sales tax when purchased which is around 6%. Texas also has no state income tax but property taxes are higher than some states and sales tax is around 8% in most places. Texas has lots of people relocating from California who can’t believe how much house they get...

    Got my first ding

It almost looks like something fell on it or someone hit it with something narrow. You can see it also left a mark on the plastic tailgate cap. Hopefully it won’t cost much to fix. It would drive me crazy. Mark

    License plate renewal

$87.75 this past summer for my 2014. My 2008 Shelby GT was $3.25 cheaper to renew only costing $84.50. You can save $2 bucks renewing online or by mail but they charge you the $2 bucks back if you use a credit card. Mark

    A very special day!

Looks just like the first Raptor I took for a test drive. I thought it was going to be mine until the dealership started playing their games. Pissed me off and put owning a Raptor off for a few years until the want and need resurfaced. Don’t worry about the low miles. I just hit 25000 on my 2014...

    EDC Tools/Sockets

Back when Craftsman was still a quality tool. I worked for JC Penney automotive on college breaks and that ratchet is a JC Penney brand whose tools were top shelf. The wrenches remind me of Matco. Mark
