Gen 3 Whipple Upgrade Testing!!! Results inside

Some of you know we recently installed a Whipple Gen 3 Supercharger on MetroNYC's 2011 Raptor truck. This truck was already running the Whipple Supercharger kit and had our custom dyno tune. The truck had been running the Whipple 2.9L Gen 2 Supercharger with our tune for nearly 4 years. The...

8 Groove kit for TVS2300 and tensioner for max boost

I don't rely on Meth injection because it's an add on system that could fail or not work properly and leave you up shit's creek with out a paddle. A bigger heat exchanger is your best combatant of lowering intake temps when running higher boost levels. FORD RAPTOR HEAT EXCHANGER UPGRADE...

I know 2nd time I said this but getting SC now

I would say 7 out of 10 trucks we install Superchargers on don't opt for the Oil pump gears due to cost of part and labor (1 day ~$1000 + $390 for the gears = almost $1500 after taxes.) However I can only think of about 4-5 trucks that have had the failure over our 6 years of Supercharging...

    Whipple Gen III Upgrade

We offer smaller pulley's, bigger throttle body's, tuning, and more that can get your Roush to the 700 HP (550+ RWHP) mark too! When all said and done Metro's truck should be close to 600 RWHP or easily 750+ HP at the motor. Safety is all a matter of making sure there is no detonation. So...

8 Groove kit for TVS2300 and tensioner for max boost

The 47# injectors will be fine with your Roush for the 75mm and 72mm pulley size. Going to a 69mm may require bigger injectors. I would recommend the Ford Racing twin 65mm TB. They are more consistent and better for daily driving. The NGK plugs are a must, gap them to .030"

    Whipple Gen III Upgrade

The old blower was peaking at 12 psi and held 11-11.5 most of the run. The new Gen III was seeing the same 11-11.5 psi through out the run until we had to abort. I expect it to peak around 12 as well.

8 Groove kit for TVS2300 and tensioner for max boost

We have modified the American Racing Solutions 3V Mustang Tensioner to fit the Raptor. It's something we do in house. It comes with an 8 rib pulley, you would just have to get 8 rib pulleys for the rest of your belt drive. The Idlers would be easy. The Accessories though might be a problem...

    Whipple Gen III Upgrade

Last week we installed the NEW Gen III Supercharger from Whipple on forum member MetroNYC's 2013 Raptor F-150. The truck was already fitted with the previous generation Whipple Supercharger kit so all we did was swap the head unit and put a fresh set of spark plugs in the motor. The blower...

I know 2nd time I said this but getting SC now

I would say the traction bars decrease the chances of failure greatly and as well provide you with better traction and stopping wheel hop. However the traction bars are not meant to go off road so if you do go off road or on uneven pavement then you want to take them off or you can bend the...

I know 2nd time I said this but getting SC now

The driveline chatter promotes vibration through the entire drive train and the gears can shatter from this. This is also why we sell traction bars and the heavy duty leaf springs. They prevent the axle wrap which causes wheel hop.

I know 2nd time I said this but getting SC now

The oil pump gears are just added insurance. We've built trucks making more than 550 RWHP who did not upgrade and never had any issues. But I've heard of trucks making alot less power and their gears broke leading to engine failure. The gears tend to shatter from too much torque or tire...

    6.2 sparkplugs ?

It typically takes us almost 3 hrs to change the plugs on a Roush SC truck. It's a little technical but could be done in your driveway, it does not need a lift or anything. We use the NGK 6510 plugs and gap them to .030" NGK-6510 Spark Plug 6510 For the Ford Raptor Truck 6.2L - JDM Engineering

Phase 1 or 2 Roush sc

The only difference in the two kits is the Pulley size. It's about 2-3 psi of boost, which can give you more performance for sure. Having the extra boost also gives you a good kick in the Torque department. Probably another 50 lb/ft at least. In my opinion Roush should only offer they're...

Actually we haven't developed our Ecoboost Raptor tuning yet! We are late to the game but working on it!! The truck has stock tuning.... Kooks high flow GREEN catted down pipes installed!!

Ok but the RT cats have been causing CEL's for almost everyone so far, and the Green cats from Kooks have not. So that was my concern and argument. I've had a number of the RT cats blow out or clog in exhaust systems on Supercharged Mustang, GT500, and 6.2L Raptor applications. We are a...

Kooks high flow GREEN catted down pipes installed!!

As of today over 400 miles no codes. In my experience the codes will come on with in the first 100-200 miles of driving, so we are past that point! Kooks developed these GREEN cats with GSI because of the emissions testing that is growing state by state and day by day. They remain high flow...
