after having mine replaced and being able to enjoy the truck as it’s meant to be, all I can think is how Ford hasn’t done a recall on these shocks instead of a TSB. The sheer number of threads, this one alone at almost 100 pages, shows how prevalent this issue is and it’s killing the Raptor...
Second dealer ended up figuring it out. It was the bed bolts needing to be replaced. They never replaced them when they did the spray in liner and the bed bolts are one time use. Once they replaced them my rear end no longer creaks. Well it technically still does but only when I eat carbs.
The width of the bed is 65” and this ATV is 55” at its widest. The weight concerns are interesting though. Payload for the GEN3 maxes out at 1,400lbs. It’s about a 40 minutes drive to my house from the dealer but I wonder if towing mode stiffens the dampeners to adjust for the payload weight too.
Don’t really want to have to rent a trailer everytime I take it somewhere, which is why I’m asking for other people’s experiences with loading their ATVs before I buy this one.
I’m picking up an ATV this week to use around the house and was wondering if anyone has loaded one into the bed of their GEN3? I know width wise it’ll be fine, just thinking I’ll need to have the rear wheels resting on the tailgate and I’m not sure if that’s going to cause any issues.

I remember when I was rolling with some Audi guys they would spend $500+ on a set of euro spec visors since they come blank without any of the warning labels. The lengths some people go to spend cash on unnecessary stuff..
Someone on here ended up buying a knockoff one from eBay. Didn’t look exactly the same as the OEM one but was definitely better than the tailgate without the appliqué. Can’t imagine how they’re running into a shortage of things like plastic pieces still. Ford needs to get their act together.
I don’t have my truck wrapped nor do I have mud flaps so the one thing saving my doors from rock Armageddon is how the side steps come from factory. The thicker portion up front helps with side spray especially if you have 0+ offset wheels. Keeping mine as is.
Not just your area but the same in Maine. I’ve had to go into my dealer so many times I can see them role their eyes when I walk in the door, even though they have a new issue that is actually warrantable each time. With that I still have a bunch of issues I just live with because there...
Is there a way to block this thread? I’m already on my second set of wheels and everytime I look at this thread I end up finding another set I want to buy. I’m going broke from this conversation.
:snoopfacepalm:
Was looking to see what the cost is for the same piece on the raptor R because that one comes standard in black. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find the part number. The search continues!
Four dealers and none will replace the fronts? Sounds to me that your fronts probably aren’t an issue then. just because some have gotten all four replaced does not mean everyone will have the same luck or even need all four replaced. I’d spend the money on a set of chassis ears before you go...
I was cutting down some pines today and like an idiot hopped in my truck to move it without thinking about the sap on my pants. I’ve seen some call the fabric suede but not sure what it actually is and I want to use the right solution to remove the sap without damaging the fabric.
Is it in fact...
