Greetings,
My moonroof - 2013 SCAB - needs repair. As I did not use it for quite awhile when I pressed the button to slide open the moonroof I heard a crack then when I tried to close it another cracks/snap. Long story short the two brackets left and right and the plastic clips broke. The motor...
Canuck714...thank you. That is about the max I want to pay for installation with me buying the kit. But I am not in TX. And yes, I would venture to do this myself, but I am concerned about ******** up the job and that includes the headliner...
I agree about the headliner to be removed. there are though so many (even on YouTube) that state that headliner MUST be removed to repair the moonroof. My take is this: what is broken are the plastic parts, the track is metal and is OK. The kit has the metal brackets, and the plastic pieces. If...
Thank you. Clearly this Ford moonroof issue is not only for older models but also newer ones STILL in warranty. My problem is that I rarely use my 2013...still only 27K miles. Moonroof got damaged in spring of 2022.
More likely if I have used it daily I would have had this problem STILL UNDER...
I had the same problem with my 2013. Asked on this forum several times for help and received ZERO feedback. At least I see you got some hits...
The dealers here in Northern Virginia are asking for a TON OF MONEY and I BASICALLY JUST HATE FORD DEALERS (other reasons too)!
My moonroof glass is...
HELLO...!!!
I really expected some answers or ideas.....any members still on this FORUM?
ANYBODY KNOWS A PLACE IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA that can repair this WITHOUT asking a TON OF MONEY ? DEALERS ARE CRAP!
Truck was checked and they said "all is OK, you need only alignment".
Here are the pictures/information I mentioned before:
1. Alignment - Before/After
2. Front right tire showing the outside part of tire much more worn vs. the inner part. Tire is less about 5000 miles. Left side tire is...
I would say they will know this from the VIN# plus it's a specialized shop where I will have alignment done working on all kind of "different vehicles"...
Thank you WINCHSTR96.
I picked up the truck the second day after delivery with only 9 miles on board. I am the only owner and driver. I checked the gap as you mentioned, the distance from tire to flares is identical on both sides. Sorry about the picture...my driveway may be tilted to the right...
You may be right as this had a complete Facelift...see for yourself...pictures when I picked it up Jan 2013!
This red color was available only on the Gen 2 and then discontinued...
Well...at this moment this Gen2 is the last production of SCABS and full metal 6.2L V8...not crap ecoboost aluminum V6. Basically it is already a CLASSIC. Value will continue going only up...especially with this low mileage and practically still in "warranty"...Not ready to part with it...
Have problems with my front tires.
Caveat: I do not abuse the truck, no YouTube BS...no offroading!
My 2013 SCAB has only 29,600 miles.
Changed the initial set of tires at 23,500 miles as it did not pass inspection.
Did 2 alignments since.
Now at second set of KO2's tires I noticed the front...
The only reason I bought this vehicle is because it is a RAPTOR! I placed the order in August 2012 and arrived and picked up in January 2013 so...no...it was not bought from the dealer's lot....like all the other vehicles I own.
I like a moonroof (have it in all the others) and used to use it...
