Update time:
Setup is working way better than I anticipated. Have been able to remove and install with no trouble whatsoever.....It's worked out exactly how Izzy designed it to work and just as easily as he set out to make it.
I also cut out and put together the case pictured to put...
Follow the link I posted here before and reach out to Izzy. He mentioned in that post that he is working on a pre-fab solution.

I had an Equalizer brand hitch and hated it. Hate is actually not even a strong enough word for it. It was super messy and made noises that can only be described as a hundred witches being dragged and screaming behind you. This Blue Ox WD hitch is great. Easy to put on and off, clean and isn’t...
As a courtesy to the guys that made the effort, thought this through and did the work, I don’t think it would be right to just plaster their work on here for someone else to knock off. Take a look HERE for more info. Looks like they’re going to go into production on something like what they did...
Very nice setup man!! We have a few Ducati Streetfighters that we’ve towed in the bed while towing the airstream but haven’t been doing much in the way of riding these days.
Anyway, your setup I’m sure works great and you’re right, that’s a haul to get out here. I’ll tell you two things from...
It’s cool man. No problem.
Haha....photography is just a hobby. Always forget to post pics on here. That’s why I always point people to instagram. I post a lot of pictures there.
Haven’t tried it for anything other than regular on-road driving and towing and so far that’s been as smooth...
I’ll second the dinner one day, class the next. We also thought it would be a two day affair and were surprised that it was only one. When I was there earlier this year they acknowledged that it was a bit misleading and that they were going to change the marketing material/website/emails. Guess...
Thanks a lot man.
He's charging $2,500, All-In with the Fox shocks and all. If you ask me, that was a damn bargain for the functionality I'm getting. I'd pay as much or more for a crappy bump-stop solution that'll wouldn't give me anywhere NEAR the ride quality or versatility of this setup.
You’d have to take the truck there as here is fabrication involved, but like I said, I would have driven cross country for this.
Dude, no disrespect, but I already had airbags, which is basically what the timbren setup you mention is. I promise you I t’s not even close to the same thing. I had...
Let me start by saying, YES, we tow with our Raptor.....A LOT. We've towed over 40,000 miles worth over the last few years. Spare me the "Why did you buy a Raptor to tow with it to begin with" bit. If you wanna hate, go somewhere else. It's simple, we tow our trailer to places where having a...
Yeah especially considering the only time you're swapping it out is WHEN you're hitching up or dropping the trailer. Both instances require using the trailer tongue jack so it's a no brainer if you want to go that route.
Kowboy, Not to hijack your post, but to answer ovrlnd's question or concern about swapping out at camp, you wouldn't even need the floor jack. You're going to have to use the trailers tongue-jack (motor) to raiser the truck and trailer and remove the weight distribution bars. You should have...
I think it would help if you simply think of the airbags as leveling out the truck and not so much as it helping the trailer itself. The WDH then does its job controlling sway and taking some of the stress/weight off the Raptor's hitch receiver and transferring some of that stress/weight to the...
That's correct. I didn't take the bags off of the old Raptor when I sold it. The shop just ordered the same regular F150 airbags and mounts for me to install on the new truck. Works no problem.
Cool. Will keep you posted on how it turns out.
I'm running the daystar cradles. I actually bought them months before taking delivery of the truck. I always worried that the truck would get here and all of the sudden I'd find they no longer made the cradles. They're cheap....like $60 or...
Sorry, I should have mentioned...we've always use a weight distribution hitch. When I said it dropped as much as it did (when we tried it without the airbags), that was WITH the weight distribution hitch. You should be able to see the weight distribution bars in the picture I posted above.
As I mentioned before, we had a Gen1 Raptor with airbags and.....never any issues. With that one we towed our 23' Airstream (about 6,000 lbs and 750 lbs of tongue weight) and before that a 19' Airstream (weighed about 5,000 lbs). Altogether we've towed a little over 40,000 miles so I'd be...
