I did go back to his truck and look. Brakes are indeed same size. I assumed they were larger because it stops that much better. BUT, as was clearly my intent with the post, who cares!!! Jenny is at 11K now, and could not be happier. And, the fact that the brakes are same size does not make...
FWIW, my boss just replaced his leased 2015 Ecoboost 4x4 with a brand new Escalade. I drove his Ecoboost back to his home. The truck has good acceleration, but it's not my Raptor. Jenny has a way better acceleration. His truck has 31K miles on it, and it has never given him one days...
FWIW, I had the sony system in my gen1, totally sucked and I replaced every speaker. Opted out on my gen2, bought an 801a and added the kicker. Absolutely better than the stock sony system. I honestly cannot understand why Ford stuck with sony for sooooo loooong.
Sorry you had a bad experience, truly wish you well with future vehicle purchases. I, like many others here, LOVE my truck.
Saturday, your particular nightmare will be over.
Although, 5 years is how long I hang onto vehicles that I love. Two months for vehicles I've hated.
We new...
I apologize to all. Been a while since I've visited FRF, yet conversation always seems to float around this topic, and here I go kicking it off again.
My truck truly does rock.
My Bad
Been off the forum for a while, and when I return to see if anything is new, NOPE. I truly started it to let doubters out there know that my truck Rocks. Now SS77 knows of at least one happy owner. I humbly apologize to FRF as a whole.
Note, now says drilled the weep holes in order to get rid of his EcoBoost. Has no idea if it worked, or what the long term consequences were. Yet proclaims it's the cure all for the EcoBoost. How the hell would you know?
Another way to read his post is: I was one of the unfortunate 1 in 1000...
I found the following post from our very own SS77 under general discussions concerning engine hesitation and drilling the weep hole:

So, I am at 10K on my newest screw. Is there some magic mileage number I need to be worrying about before I do something stupid, like drill a weep hole into my truck. I live in a high humidity area, on an island no doubt, and I keep stomping the accelerator, and the truck continues to take off...
Maybe, time will tell. I'm approaching 10K and I've only felt the AC kick on twice right after I got it, and it never affected my trucks performance. Certainly, mine has never done anything that a passenger would comment on.
Rotated the Ko2 set I had on my Gen 1 every 5k miles, had 60k on them when I traded in on my Gen 2. Still looked good, 40-50% tread left at trade in. My Gen 2 has 7,500 miles, tires were rotated 1,500 miles ago, no uneven wear.
