B&O Sub mounting depth and resistance?

Haha, a 13tw5 will never fit in the stock enclosure! The factory sub is only 8 inches in diameter. 12” is the largest that Mobile Toys has been able to fit in their custom behind seat box. Enclosure volume becomes an issue. There’s really not enough room back back there for even a 12 before you...

Has anyone tried a behind the seat Subwoofer from Mobile Toys?

DIY stereo upgrade for under $500.00

When you replace the factory b&o or Sony dsp/amp, the center channel is eliminated. Meaning, even if you had a speaker connected to it, it won’t produce any sound. If you don’t have a factory amplified system, you simply need to disconnect the center. There isn’t suppression of any kind.

DIY stereo upgrade for under $500.00

Very few DSP’s have true center channel processing. A true center is for creating an image that is equal for both passengers. Meaning, whether you are sitting in the drivers or passenger seat, you will experience the same stage and imaging. In the case of the B&O and Sony systems, the “center”...

The 2018 B&O system uses a different type of communication to send signal from the headunit to the factory b&o dsp/amp. Instead of it being analog or low level, the signal is now A2B can-bus. There are no wires that run to the factory amp other than 2 can-bus com wires and a single usb. In order...

Yeah. The rubber tray in front of the center channel speaker comes right out. A good suction cup mount will adhere to that flat plastic panel with no drilling or permanent mounting. I use this one: Mpow Car Phone Mount,Washable Strong Sticky Gel Pad with One-Touch Design Dashboard Car Phone...

Remove the pad in the bottom of that tray and the suction mount will lock onto the plastic underneath. That’s how I mount mine. Very strong.

You don’t need forscan. If you go the DSR1 route, you will be removing the factory amp and replacing it with an amp of your choice. You still need tweeters and a crossover since you are using a 5 channel. You can also run active crossovers if you decide to not use the rear speakers. Ch 1 and 2 on amp would be tweeters. Ch 3 and 4 would be mids.

Because the amp turns on when you open the door. Thats how you get chimes, etc. everything starts power up when you open the door. Light come on, fuel pump primes itself. Your truck is a computer, it goes to sleep when you lock the truck, it wakes up when you open the door again.
