All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

They also do not run full-time, so will not be lit during the day as a TRX identifier unless the driver manually turns running lights on (Gen 1 was like this also, not sure about G2).

For those of you that want to see black interior

Tough to really make anything out. I think Ford could have done a much better job integrating the 12" screen. The whole center area is very blocky and bulbous.. no flow at all. Reminds me of the older Chevy interiors. The graphics aren't terrible, just not really my thing. Still don't get the...

All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

I imagine the R will also have a functional hood scoop for increased airflow. It sounds to me like some/many of the commenters on FRF have not seen a TRX in person, or have only seen it briefly in passing. It is a difficult truck to appreciate in photos. I actually enjoy the semi-anonymity of...

All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

Agree on TRX/Rebel comment. In fact, at a glance, the ONLY thing that really sets them apart is the flares. RAM did not alter the front fascia or tailgate enough in my opinion to properly distinguish between them. There are subtle differences, but really only once you know what to look for. My...

All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

I'm trying to see what you're seeing. Pics for comparison: I guess the Gen 1 is a bit more protruding, and more rounded, than the Gen 2. Gen 3 looks about the same as Gen 2. TRX for comparison. Nice big butt, but more of a "plateau" look than the Gen 1's protruding arc.

    Interesting FP model year info..

I think it has more to do with the F150 model cycle.. mid-life refresh will probably be 2023? That's when I'd expect changes.

    Interesting FP model year info..

Sounds about right. Wouldn't surprise me if Ford took a bunch of 21 orders knowing they couldn't deliver, because of how easy it will be to just "bump" to a 22. Essentially, all 21 + 22 Gen 3s are part of one "extended model year". Given how late the 21s were announced, I suspect this was the...

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

Does the Gen 3 have quad exhaust, or is this a concept photo?

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

Because your original post stated that you assumed anyone who cares about HP and V8 is a mall crawler. That is dumb and wrong. Your words: "Most ppl in this thread only seem to be considered with HP and a V8 so I can only assume your trucks are mall crawlers"

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

Ha. I mean, come on, some of these people are like nanny-state Democrats. "Hi, I'm Kaz109, let me tell you what you need or don't need."

No. Why don't YOU spend less time worrying about what I need or don't need?

Where do you see that it is lighter? It has iron versus aluminum in the other two.

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

Again, why can't I maximize what I drive in all respects? By your logic, I should buy the absolute minimum capability needed for my requirements. That ain't how I live brah. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed.

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

I imagine Ford has a different standard of what constitutes a "durability issue" when they are considering things from a warranty perspective. You are probably correct that the vast majority of tuned/upgraded Gen 1/2 had no issues, but that may not work for Ford's engineering and warranty models.

Yeah, look man, I don't even drive a Raptor right now, I drive a TRX, and.. .. this is some pretty weak trolling. Post what you've got or shut up.

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

Nah, there are plenty of folks I'm sure who missed having a V8 after the Gen 1 and would be plenty interested in the R, even if the TRX did not exist.

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

Because I want the best possible on- and off-road capability together in a single vehicle, along with the utility of a truck. What's wrong with that?

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

But iron block, no? Heavier engine on a lighter frame would be even more nose-heavy than TRX.

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

Well, right, that's my point - those vehicles are in production now, and the R is not. There is less and less appetite for the gas-guzzlers at Ford and a gradual decline in those types of vehicles. There is only so much room, and eventually, ideas like the R will no longer be entertained.

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R: "durability problems when turned up beyond 650 HP"

Yeah, they're comparing that to the base TRX, which accounts for only like 5% of units sold. Seems unlikely the R would be offered in any configuration less than fully loaded. The R runs counter to Ford's prioritization of eco-friendly vehicles. I don't think they want to sell many, and it...

    Carnivore pushed Back

Pretty amateurish, Ford. Code names are supposed to have nothing to do at all with the source material. It should be "Project Fluffy Pancakes" or something.
