You should be fine. The fulcrum point is going to be closer to the middle of the cab which means the area of the third brakelight isn't going to get any higher
The easiest to Install would be the rpg 1.5 2.25 or 3.0" collars. This kit is adjustable and just as easy to install at 1.0" and 1.75" but requires the addition of a spacer on the top of the shock to achieve an extra .5" ie: 1.5" or 2.25"
Still a fairly easy install, but I think rpg is the is...
The only reason I haven't done this mod is because I worry some dummy (friend/service tech/etc) wants to play fighter pilot or tries to turn on my fogs and drops my tailgate into something.
I think it's an issue for some that do a lot of aggressive offloading. If you do only light to no offroading I wouldn't worry. I know 420motors on YouTube complained about it
My truck made the same noise while performing a tight u turn on the street while raining. I was in weather mode (4a) and my truck is 100% stock. The manual covers this as well
you're going to hear some of that while in 4H/L, nothing to worry about. plenty of guys run 1.5-3" perch and spring upgrades without issue. Check your boots because they are more likely to tear with a perch kit/spring upgrade.
pics or it never happened
How do you like the ride with the 2.25? I called RPG for 1.5 today and they were pushing the 2.25 for level and claimed the ride change is minimal
'Obsessed Garage' on youtube (he is a forum member too) made a video detailing setup and use of the trailer assist feature. Its a great youtube channel.
