So true. I wouldn't have bought a fast truck if I didn't want the ability to drive it fast. Do I drive it fast all the time? No, of course not, but I know its there and its fun to use when nobody is around. All these people saying it wasn't designed to go fast or "get a different vehicle"...
This does NOT work on the newer trucks as has been mentioned multiple times. Put the truck in 4A and auto hold. Foot OFF the brake. Gas it. The computer will not let you power brake
Finally heard back and they are covering the whole thing even though they were not able to find any cause for the water intrusion. On this truck I have Maxcare, bought through Carmax. So far, I'm happy. Just wish I knew what the cause was. Now I'm worried about the R. Drove through some...
No question about it. There are more settings than you will ever use. Everything from eco which is more sluggish than stock to track mode which will jump out of your pants when you touch the pedal and a plethora in between.
I would call them or email to verify the part number.
On my order form for the Banks it says model 64310. Its stuffed up under the dash so picture isn't really going to help you. You don't see any part of it. It's not something you have to mount for access. You control it by bluetooth with your phone.
My earlier comment about mileage was a...
Don't tell that to all my other off road trucks or especially the wrangler on bicycle tires that followed me through. Sure, I get water pressure and depth, but I'd be surprised if it hit the hubs.
I’ve done tons and tons of off-roading in other vehicles. Even used to run the Pro UROC circuit. I’ve never worried about diff oil after going thru deep water unless the breather tube was under.
So you’re telling me the seals in the housing can keep hot diff oil in but can’t keep water out? I...
So, I started getting a hum from the rear end in my 19 raptor with 65,000 miles. Took it to ford because I have an extended warranty. They pulled the cover and the fluid looks like a milk shake. Water in the diff oil. The last time I was anywhere near any water was almost exactly a year ago...
So, I've got a 2019 with an MPT tune along with the R and I know exactly what you guys are talking about. Nothing crazy aggressive. Just their standard tune for a Gen2. I describe the tuned Gen2 as a hyena on steroids and the R as a lion. It's the aftermarket tuning that makes the gen2 so...
Love the wrap but complaining about miles out of a tank is about like complaining your Ford GT doesn’t have enough trunk space.
Oh yeah and I did add a banks pedal monster to mine. Found the beauty of that from my gen 2 that i was disappointed in. The R doesn’t need a tune. I haven’t been able...
What I read is that the stock programming won't let you power brake for fear of overwhelming the brakes. You have to have the "auto hold" feature on. That is where you stop the truck and the green light comes on and the truck will stay stopped until you press the accelerator. With that...
Yes, I would do it again. I would have paid far more than I did if I had to. It's not about resale. Still love my gen 2 as my daily driver and I test drove a TRX and it was a great truck, but not an R.
I drive faster than most people but if someone comes up on me I always let them go. I do that because it really chaps my ass when I pull up on someone going slower than me in the left lane and they refuse to yield. Not saying you did that because the video may not have told the whole story...
