These are pretty awful once you start kicking up a trail of snow or dust, I would advise some real rear facing lights, S2's or some D-series ambers. They also disappear as the truck pitches front to back on the trail.
Clearly this guy is only ever going to starbucks and back so probably 60k miles assuming he doesn't hit a speed bump or curb to hard and knock it out of alignment:

The '15+ bed is significantly different from the previous generation I doubt they will fit correctly. For one the tie down points that these bolt into don't exist in those locations or styles on the Gen1 beds.
