Hi everybody,
Been on the forum since late last year and the time has come, so I figured I’d post this here just in case anyone has what I’m looking for!
I’m looking for a ‘13 or ‘14 SCREW, Oxford White or Terrain are my top color choices but I’ll consider anything with the exception of black...
I’m actually interested to see what they’ll do! I need to figure out how to talk my wife into a Bronco, and still get a Gen 1 for myself plus another older diesel. Only at that point, will I be happy.
I knew this was coming. Haha.
I’m not big on the Jeeps necessarily. They look cool when they’re set up, but they’re a little tight interior and to me that isn’t a truck necessarily. Same deal on the ZR2 as far as interior size goes. My buddy has one and he likes the truck itself, but wishes...
I appreciate the input. It’s important to mention that hunting is all my next truck will be used for besides driving the highway or road trips with my wife. I have a 2013 F-150 Platinum 5.0 as a company truck with 258K miles and it runs like a top, so the need for a daily driver isn’t necessary...
Yeah, my F-150 was pretty well destroyed by November/December, on the exterior anyways. It definitely saw its share of JEEP trails and hectic washes. I guess more so I worry about track width as well. Thoughts?
Honestly, just preference. The Titan reference in my original post was more so just to reference the suspension it had on it and the fact I liked the ride quality. I am 100%, 4th generation ford guy. The Titan rode well on Icon’s, but the truck itself and the materials are 1/4th as good as any...
Hello again, everyone! I hate to post another stupid thread asking questions, but I need an answer! I’ve pondered a bunch on what direction to go, but then again that’s what this section is for.
I think most people following this section of the forum have probably seen my posts in the last 6...
None yet! I just sold my 6.7 F-350 on Friday, so now I’m getting somewhat more serious. I think I’m going to pass on this Gen 1 though. For what my long term idea is with the next truck I buy, I think I’d like something with less mileage and if I’ve waited this long for the perfect one, I may as...
Lol, glad someone posted this. I saw it yesterday and had to go back 2 or 3 times to make sure I was seeing it right. I scan car gurus 4-5 times a week for a Gen 1 and every once in a while there’s one like this on there. The wheels are atrocious and some other stuff is a little over done too...
Sounds low price wise. Make sure it isn’t a Canadian auction special that has more hidden rust than you’d ever want to see in one place. Ask me how I know... :33:
The dealership claiming that they know the demand and trying to be forceful in a sense would make me want to go elsewhere...
I’m slowly picking my way through Gen 1’s and have been for the last 2 months or so. With that said my opinion may not be the most valid as I’m not an owner yet. However; what it came down to for me was the long term.
For me, this truck will be a long term purchase as my personal truck. The...
As mentioned, there is bonuses for hitting certain numbers of vehicles sold. There is also what is called “hold-back”. For every vehicle sold, the manufacturer gives the dealer a certain dollar value for that vehicle. I remember when I worked at a powersports dealership when going to college...
Matter of fact, it was. Again, just what I heard through the grapevine. I’m almost positive it was a ‘19 as well, but don’t know for sure.
That said, this is why I have a hard time buying a truck in Las Vegas or some of the other Western States. I’m in the market for a Gen 1 or at least getting...
Heard from a service manager last week that at a dealership in Las Vegas had one of the $75K MSRP trucks get let go for $65K as well within the last couple weeks. Not beating you up, just trying to give you some reference. Either way, good luck!
I’m in the same situation as you, kind of. The tundra is antiquated at best even when compared to a Gen 1, and the Toyota ‘reliability’ reputation isn’t what it used to be in my opinion. I could go on and on about why it isn’t nearly as good, but I think you found out like I did if you’re...
I agree with you. Mid-range KBB in the shape it’s in is $29.5K for private party which is where my number came from. Then again I see the same truck at dealers all over the place between $31-$34,000 with 80-120K miles and depending on a few things. With that said, I think he can get it on trade...
Thanks for the response, Ben!
I guess you’re right on the tune aspect. I’ve had tuned trucks before, but always been the guy that loads them and gets familiar with it, so maybe that’s what brings the question up. I know the 6.2 and power train is solid from the forum, the amount trucks on the...
Hey, guys! I was leaning in the Gen 1 direction for the last year or so after deciding to get rid of my diesel. After making the 100% decision on a Gen 1 following my Gen 1 vs 2 thread a few months ago, I’ve been searching the nation essentially online looking for the right one.
It just so...
How many miles and what are you doing with it? What’s the price? Your budget? I’m on the hunt too, but won’t be ready until summer. I’m just feeling it out, but you can pick up a clean 13-14 with anywhere from 30K miles-75K miles just about anywhere in the nation for anywhere from $34.5K to...
I wish I was ready to pick up a Gen 1, I’d come get it in a heartbeat...
Otherwise, post that truck on the KSL classifieds! I believe it’s free and gets a lot of attention for clean west coast trucks from CA & NV where the rust isn’t a big concern. Being it’s a Utah based website, a lot of...
