I fitted the Motorcraft hoses and canister.

So i had a good feel around the hoses and the canister. I did not notice any loose hoses. The canister is vibrating like hell, when I pull the electrical connector the noise stops (the engine almost stalls, but the noise stops). Maybe I got a dud canister it’s only been on the truck for a few...

You are a brave man to straight crest it! Out of curiosity why did you not side crest the dune?

It had rained the day before so the sand was wet after you broke through the top layer. Normally the sand is very soft. As for “bottomless” I’m not brave enough to try . Got to protect the half shafts. Here are a few photos when the sand is bone dry.

Yes, alignment was done. From what I’ve been reading the axle should not spin in 2H. Possibly losing vacuum? I’m stumped. Will keep you guys updated. cheers
