The only addition to the tune and tuner that I can see in the ORA 555’s basic package at the cost of $888 is spark plugs. The rest of the package is the SCT tuner and the GH tune which you can get directly from GH for $524. That was really my question. I thought I was missing something in the...
The only “hard parts” for the most basic ORA550 seems to be spark plugs... Am I missing something? Cuz the Gearhead tune with tuner from their site is $524 while the ORA550 from off-road alliance is $888. I’d planned on doing exactly what you did. Did you get the SCT tuner? The N-Guage is...
‘Would love for someone to explain to me what the ORA550 by Off-road Alliance has over the Gearhead tune with SCT programmer from the Gearhead site (aside from the spark plugs...). The ORA550 is $888 while the Gearhead/SCT is $524 (with performance tune but not tow tune). Kinda feels like $364...
Will have to disagree with you, or at least have a difference in opinion. No way no how around where I live or with my dogs. Dogs are a muddy mess or shedding like crazy....gotta coral all that up and the “taco-type” works best for that. Vast majority of the hair is contained, as is any mud...
I’m a tuning freshman and even I know you want a tried and true platform. I’d read a bunch of these tuning forums and you’ll find several that have been around a while with fans of each and a few detractors. Cobb seems very popular; i’m leaning toward Gearhead; heard that 5 star is...
Wondering your opinion of the Off-road alliance offering at $888 compared to the direct from Gearhead tuning package at $524 (without tow tune since I don’t tow much)...
Really surprising. My local tire shop did mine and didn’t bat an eye. Course I live in truck country so probably more commonplace.
As an aside, May be more money for install than you’d expect. I was a little shocked but I’ve used this tire shop many times and they’re straight shooters...
Hi all. I’ve asked this questions multiple times in other discussions but haven’t had an answer yet. I expect it to be all over the board but love a good discussion and debate so here’s my question:
Is there a significant improvement of a dual catch can (mashimoto or radium) over a single...
maybe someone can answer a question I’ve posed several times on this forum without an answer:
is one of these $400++ dual catch cans significantly better than the single $135 JLT? Do you recover significantly more? I’ve seen arguments that catch cans are unnecessary tho I tend to believe in...
Ditto! I’d get it looking pristine and sell it. It’s got some noterietay so may get a good price. How many miles? I’d get a new Raptor and then play with it! Half the fun I’m having is doing the mods! Get a clean slate and make it what YOU want, not what someone else wants. Not saying it...
Thanks... I figured it’d be 2-3 hrs tops but when I got the bill closer to 600 than 5, I was a little taken aback. The shops been super fair before so I just sucked it up. Thanks for confirming!
Have asked but never had answered the following:
What advantage does a dual catch can well over $400 have over the JLT at about 1/3 of the price? Is there that much of an advantage to merit the significant cost difference?
Thx
Just wondering how much it cost you to get these installed. Something I definitely couldn’t do myself.... embarrassed to say I got charged $500+ (on top of the $225 these cost). Did I get taken to the cleaners?
Maybe not a mod but an interior addition for dog owners. I looked around a LOT before I found this one. Fits 60/40 seats separately with velcro and zipper enclosures. Can even put arm rest down and fold the hammock part underneath and Velcro it in place so don’t have to remove to have...

There are a couple products I’ve picked up for my Raptor; some are “ho-hum” mods but there are a couple I really really like. This has been one of those. Took me a long time to...
I’ve not had that experience. Absolutely love my Borla ATAK. Best money I’ve spent and by far my favorite mod. Sound is all personal but this one is PERFECT for me. Well mannered and quiet when cruising but nice n throaty when accelerating. I’m not having the random popping mentioned.
The more I drive with my Borla ATAK, the more I absolutely LOVE it! Then again, exhaust note was pretty important to improve for me. It is exactly as I’d hoped and more. Quiet cruising and idling, but lets you know it when you stomp on the skinny pedal! Perfect (for me).
Just had my ATAK exhaust installed (mid-pipes only as mentioned above). Oh My Gosh....By FAR my favorite mod yet. I realize exhaust note is pretty personal but I couldn’t imagine it better than it is. It declares itself when you step on it but cruising seems to me as quiet as stock; at least...
I’d heard that the Cobb tune was pretty conservative and HP wasn’t as impressive as most of the other tunes. This can be a good thing if you don’t want to push the envelope but also doesn’t get me really excited either.
