It’s not dead in NY. Yes all the trucks are the same but the certificate of origin must state “certified for sale in California “ here in New York. It’s a simple click when the truck is ordered by the dealer. If the dealer isn’t part of this bs they have to get approval to order the truck this...
Funny how shitty california started this and yet they dont follow the rules. In NY you go to DMV first, Thats where its determined if it can be registered or not. Thats when they look for "Certified for sale in CA" on the COO. NYS DMV doesnt care what a sticker on the truck says. The inspection...
They sold my first ordered truck to someone local and I had to wait another 3 months for the 2nd truck to be built. Any dealer can order a Ca truck but it has to be requested and approved by ford. Again this was in 2017 when I went threw this. Hopefully it’s gotten better.
I went threw this mess in 2017. Purchased a new Raptor from alabama to be registered in New York. New York follows CA emissions rules. All the trucks are built the same but the Certificate of origin is different. It must state on the COO "Certified for sale in california" The dealer must order...
Thanks for the reply. Getting down to the timing chain cover seems like a big job. Sounds like you found someone that knows what they are doing. I guess you havnt experienced any cam phaser isssues as this would have been the time to do it.
After replacing the windshield does anything need to be done with the sensors under the mirror(recalibrate)? Trying to decide which company can handle the job without issue.

I was rotating every 5k. I believe my tires could have gone atleast another 5k. I was just sick of the noise and the feel on the highway. I picked up the replacement tires from Costco. They are same same c load rating as what came on the truck.
At 15,000 miles my ko2s starting making alot of noise. At 75-80mph they would cause the turn signal lever to vibrate and make a weird high pitch noise. At 38,000 miles my tires looked about what yours look like in the pic. If I remember right they were 6/32nds all around. I just purchased new...
Its 100 percent the tires that are causing the turn signal lever to vibrate. I rotate my tires every 5000 miles. Had them balanced 2 seperate times. Didnt matter. The sound started at round 16,000 miles and its still the same at 31000 miles. Depending on temp and speed sometimes it doesnt...
LOL I have the same noise. In my truck its the turn signal lever. Try putting pressure on it when its happening it should go away. I thought about changing the lever, Its pretty cheap but have since got used to the stupid noise.
30,000 miles, Same rattle on start up the entire time. Just a few secs on cold start ups. I am going to let it be. No reason to bring it in to ford so they can split atoms trying to fix it while added damage to my truck.
