I don't think the market is that small. Since Ford started selling Raptors they have sold more than every kind of Corvette put together, every single year. Hell, some years Raptors outsold Camaros as well. The vette/muscle car market isn't crazy on price for most things, and I see the Raptor...
Fuel would be draining back too and DI tends to cause more fuel dilution. The amount of oil caught in a catch can is so insignificant (on a healthy engine) it's not worth the hassle routing it and all the other crap back into the engine.
Load of crap. Filtering the entire crankcase through a water separator is far more restrictive than an actual catch can, flow 90 psi on an air compressor is going to be impeded far less than 1-2 psi from a crankcase. If what he is saying was true, there wouldn't already be baffling inside the...
That's a pretty interesting approach. I've not seen an actual filter used as baffling before but it makes sense and I imagine it'd be a lot more effective than standard plate baffling. Are you able to remove the filter? If so I'd wager it could be cleaned after it's been in service for a longer...
I really liked the Wilwood kit when I first saw it but am a bit bummed they didn't try to make it work around the stock rotor. The rotor they're using is smaller than stock.

Spicer front and rear diff covers last night. Rear was cake. Front was a bit more involved. Looking forward to having a drain plug on both of them next time I change fluids :)
@Oldfart would you mind posting some photos of the inside of it? Been eyeballing getting one of these for my truck but want to see how they've baffled the inside before pulling the trigger.
To anyone complaining about the draining process for this can, Ford has to jump through tons of hoops to...
Just installed both front and rear Spicer covers on my 2020 last night. I wrote a somewhat detailed post here (link) going over the install process for the front cover. Not too terrible of a job, just a bit time consuming. FWIW I didn't touch the steering rack at all, just dropped the diff by...
Just flipped 40k earlier this week. Finished up installing my Spicer diff covers last night and changing the diff fluids. Not sure if I want to wait to change the transfer case fluid when I do my first trans flush or now with the diffs. The factory fill diff oils looked pretty good actually...
So I saw this picture of some raptor assault trucks on social media and noticed the interior light bars they have at the top of their windshields.
With some searching I found they're made by a company called MPower Lights and they make a bolt in kit for the Gen 2 as well. Youtube videos show...
Long time no update. Not much has changed. Truck passed 32k the other week, no issues other than a small coolant leak on the passenger side turbo last winter which was fixed under warranty. Have been focusing on saving for a house so trying not to spend money that I don't have to.
Did get a...
Glad to hear you're liking it, I'd love to toss one in my truck. I've been wondering if Gen 3 shocks may be a cheaper alternative for upgraded live valve shocks.
My truck had small coolant leak a few months ago. Luckily my local dealer has some fairly competent techs. Was a leaking coolant line fitting/crush washer on the passenger side turbo. New gaskets and crush washers (covered under warranty) and had my truck back in a few days.
I first noticed the...
Saw these in person at PRI and I will say they look great and the price point is phenomenal for cast stainless manifolds. I know Headgames Motorworks who does a lot of Raptor headwork helped them quantify flow numbers and find improvements so these things should work as good as they look.
I've got my own business to support so not wasting money on gas means more money for the business. If I wasn't concerned about money I wouldn't even look at fuel economy but running a small business is painful in today's economy.
Before I had my 2020 gen 2 I had a 2014 gen 1. My gen 1 I'd normally get 11-11.5mpg city and 13-14.5mpg highway. With my gen 2 I typically get 14-15mpg city and 18-19mpg highway.
I put about 50k miles on my gen 1 and I'm right at 28k on my gen 2. I've always used 87 octange gas in both. Stock...
Awesome find! The factory beadlock wheels were a must when I was looking for my truck. Couldn't help but grab a set of the FP beadlock rings when I unloaded my Gen 1 wheels. It's a have your cake and eat it too IMO, they push the outside of the bead outward by almost 1" to give a bit more of an...
Nope. Something is rattling in the core support area. It's absolutely not wastegates as it gets worse if I have the hood open vs closed. It's pretty intermittent too, sometimes it'll go weeks being quite and then pop up for a day or two. One day I'll look into it more closely but too many other...
Started it again this morning and no noise. Keeping my fingers crossed but will see how it is every morning this week and report back.
Whatever it was, I'm not quick to believe it's the DI fuel pump, wastegates or injectors. I've had turbo DI cars for over 10 years now, I'm well acquainted...
Well, I really hope I'm wrong but it's seeming like my 20 has phaser rattle (build date of 03/20). Have been able to replicate it 2 mornings in a row now :(
Going to get ahold of my local dealer on Monday. Pretty bummed as I specifically bought a 2020 to avoid having the engine torn into. FML
For those who haven't seen, Cobb's other markets are in an uproar over features they are removing from their software to comply with the EPA. I don't think much of this affects Raptors too negatively but be aware that you'll be losing some functionalities soon, especially if you're using your...
Pretty different situation for me but last month I dropped my truck off at the dealer for a slow coolant leak. When I was changing my oil last I noticed some coolant leaking down over the starter, truck was leaving small spots on the driveway overnight and my coolant level was going down very...
