If I'm just going back and forth to work, in rush hour, I just fill it up with 87.
If I'm going offroad, or know I'll push it hard in the near future I put 93 in.
Maybe it was just in my head, but I feel it being a tad more snappy/willing to downshift on 93.
Mileage is close, did two fillups...
Those caught my eyes too. Not a lot of reviews out on them yet.
Stuck between the Toyo Mt/RT and the Nitto equivalents.
The KO2s were a good overall tire, plan on keeping the two good ones as spares, but want a tad more aggressive tire for all the sand/mud/clay out here.
You can do a visual check to make sure there's no leaking, but Ford/Fox recommends rebuilds every 50k max with 100% on street use. Some rebuilders recommend them to be rebuit sooner. I mean you could push it further, but risk damaging internals.
There's a chance the previous guy could of...
Good luck finding a dealer in Florida for MSRP.
Hell, one dealership that my family has gone to for 30+ years wouldn't budge over 5k over.
I know of some who have gotten deals at MSRP, but went out of state. One is on this forum FWIW.
Nitto Exo Grappler AWT Tire Test - Grappling With Success
This site has the weight at 71lbs.
Not a bad increase in weight. Got me thinking about them, as they seem to have good reviews for wet conditions.
I prefer the 802, as I think the Lariat has a similar option(502a?) and I find features like cooled seats beneficial to my needs and location. However, if you aren't crazy about cooled seats or the dash, no need to spend 4k more for the 802A.
Think the 801A and the added features are good...
As someone who likes both Gen1/2, I don't think the Gen 1 looks "old" next to a Gen 2, exterior wise. Still looks badass.
It's the interior that puts the Gen 2 ahead of the Gen 1 among other things.
Finally saw a Gen 2, black one, in person. Very nice truck.
So, one of my tires isn't 100% round anymore.
When balancing them the tech noticed a slight "bump" when it was being balanced, this tire was always a PITA to balance in the past.
I would say it's cheaper to put them in than run the risk of blowing the engine and footing a bigger bill.
Just for a piece of mind I would do them.
I've driven a centrifugal expedition. Pulls nicely in the mid to high rpms, but down low the truck could use that downlow torque created by a...
Is this the first Ford performance vehicle that can take 87?
Or is it more common(GT350/RS) now with the sensors?
Seemed like every boosted car/truck SVT made was required to run 91+.
EDIT: Wheels are off the market!
Got a couple parts just hanging out in the garage that I rather just move on from. Figure I'll go 3.0's when my newer 2.5's go out fwiw.
Shocks: 60k miles on them. Obviously would need a rebuild, but saw no signs of leaking. $400 shipped OBO(or 300 local)...
Hmm, I was leaning towards the SVC, but based off Zboaters post, http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f24/tune-svc-35083/index21.html#post715990, sounds like the SVC shifts into 6th at 45mph.
I'm assuming there's no tuner in the truck?
