Found this stuff, looks like it really works and very good price. These guys used it on a lightning frame. Might have to try.

400 bucks isn't a real high price to pay even though I could rebuild.
Yep. $420 with core
Actually cheaper then rock auto, since I'd have to ship back.
Anybody else finding this? I checked a month ago for front calipers on 2012, none locally. Today none locally and only 1 in canada? Have to order from u.s. which also has a shortage they say. Wow. With how many f150s running the same calipers, what is everyone doing for replacement?
Wow, I'm wrong. Always assumed it needed power for some reason. Nope, problem #11, lock tumbler not working cause it has full power and doesn't turn, and only 1 key lock on the truck.
Took apart and cleaned multiple times. No rust and piston seals look good. I assume if the bore has rust/corrosion it would be leaking. Spins fine when pistons manually retracted.
True. Could use a flush I bet. The trick is if the bleeder doesn't trickle and some what shoots fluid meaning line pressure holding piston. Mine just trickles. Just seems odd there's nothing you can do except rebuild or replace.
Wheel just won't spin freely. Doesn't drag real badly but, in neutral, started, spins about 1/4 rotation. Put a clamp on pads to pull in and spins. Checked bleeder and barely dribbles out so not line pressure problem. Guessing the piston just won't retract enough. Everything is clean. Slide pins...
So can someone confirm this? The replacement part thats in the video is AL3Z-7R081-E but apparently thats for non-raptor 6r80, possibly non-6.2. The raptor 6.2 line is BL3Z-7R081-E. Is there a chance that the raptor line is fine? Not sure how you would know.
I've been all ford all my life but some of the design faults I'm seeing is just unreal. I get that there is a parts cost cutting in certain areas but how thoughtless could you be having such an inferior product that has the #1 importance in the survival of the transmission. Seeing more and more...
Totally agree. Can't afford to have 3 trucks though, lightning is sealed in garage and won't touch it.
Some heavy powder coating might actually be possible since its just the body that gets damaged. The fully alluminum blue anodized parts never seem to have any corrosion on them what so ever...
I think there's definitely a market for this, if not for winter operating temperature but for corrosion. MY GOD!!!! I went through an insane amount of extra effort to double coat the new replacement fox shocks with ceramic coating and 3m and just noticed around the lower perch mount some...
