Been calling more local dealerships for a lazy buddy even though I got my order in. 2021 MSRP allocations are going to be Harder than finding a Sasquatch either alive or in Bronco form. The msrp ship I believe has sailed and 37s dreams are sinking fast....
You can still get one but the 37s at MSRP are probably now a needle in a haystack. The dealers that have them in my area, east TN, want 8-10k ADM for them. The MSRP allocations have been gone for a few days now.
Oh I cannot wait for the how to fit 38/39s on the 37 package threads, that one for Gen 2 was painful for fitting 37s. It’s hard to tell from pics how much more room there is the Gen2 or if it’s similar with limited up travel. Has to be another inch Of room or so behind the tire however.
I just got mine in at priority code 10 also. They said to drop the console vault as that would/could delay it. Not that concerned about it as Iam driving and still loving my apparently non deprecating 2020. Hopefully it’s a light winter in Michigan for the 37 inch raptors waiting on ramp 59 for...
Just got my order in for the 2021 with 37 package, will be interesting to see if the “larger” 37s fit. Not just 13.50 wide but true 37s not just the BFG at. The weight will suck on some however. Some 37/12.50/17 Swamper SSRs would look pretty bad ass on the Gen 3. Old and new tech for sure...
1200-1500ish. Worth every penny lasts about 4 years. The place i use will discount it if you have cash. Do it when it’s brand new. Do not wait, get that new paint sealed up before it gets a rock chip. There is a lot on this in other threads already. Sorry for sidebar OP.
To the people concerned about the car wash. Get it ceramic coated !! If your somewhat lazy about washing or just work a lot. Makes washing your raptor a 20 minute ordeal. A hard rain also gets it halfway clean, nothing sticks to it.
My dealer said the WBDO system would not take the order today. He thought it would have taken it today also. Said he will try again in morning and email me. Most mid sized dealers are only getting 2-4 trucks and maybe only 1 w 37s so I hope it goes through or will keep paying down my Gen 2...
After getting told I would have to pay ADM I dropped my long time dealer. Found a 37 inch allocation - Got lucky their other two raptor allocations were ordered w 35s - after spending a day on the phone more or less. I can say this, with some exceptions of course....If you want a 21 with 37s at...
Just had the same thing happen, got a call back, sorry we cannot do msrp. Ordered my last two raptors from them, back to the drawing board. There are lots of dealers out there...
I would wait, TRX prices will continue to drop as they are producing decent numbers of them. Keep driving your Gen2 and saving money for either that R ADM or money down on the TRX if you go that route. The 7.3 with a supercharger would be easier to produce than the predator motor I think - don’t...
No I would want the 7.3 supercharged also, but to make 750 hp would not require the engine to be working to within an inch of its life at 120 degrees in the desert pushing a 6k pound truck around in 4wd. Not sure what the 100k warranty will cost but if I can stomach the ADM on R, for the first...
Still surprised there was not a 25 hp/tq bump at least. There are a lot of other upgrades to the truck I know like the 2kw bed plug in and stock 37s. Still really surprised there was not a small bump, although it does sound better. On the bright side it looks better for getting the R built...
Ford - how can we people to really go crazy about the R ? I got it, make it the only way to get black seats with 37s and tack on another 10k while your at.
It will be interesting to see what happens next couple weeks. Is it a 21 or 22, power and torque numbers, please at last minute change the blue interior w 37s to separate option like Gen 2 please Ford clearly it’s not to late....
I guess it’s a 3.5 eco boost thing in general then. All three raptors I have had do but it takes 30 min or longer. That’s enough not know it’s just a design thing not just a random issue. I could care less I have had no issues in a combined 150,000 something miles now between the three a...
This is just a raptor thing. I have had 3 Gen 2s. They all do it after 25/30 min idle or longer. It burns off in about 2 miles down the road. Yes it makes you look like your driving a 70k beater for a minute which sucks.
Take a look at Leitner designs. I have had mine on three raptors and about 160k miles now. Great product and company to work with if you have issues. Welds are the best I have seen on anything truck related.
As once quoted. Greed is good.
Or we should all live in a one bedroom apt and ride our govt issued issued e bike to work for the same wage as all our co workers regardless of skill and education.
Call around you will find msrp if you order one. The adm trucks along with their stickers, glass...
I was thinking the same thing, although BFG did make the Gen 2 tires for the raptor specifically as a C Rated 6 ply 315/70/17, they used to be an E rated 10 ply tire in that size. Could they, would they be able to make a high speed ( over 110/115 mph ) 37 Inch tire? If Ford only builds a couple...
I agree- does not sound like a 5.2, Sounds deeper like a 7.3. Iam no expert but have heard both engines. I would rather it be the 7.3. That’s a lot of power, 700 plus, to put through truck abuse with that small of engine displacement.
Doing simple math the 5.2 engine would be working about the...
For the Eibachs ($250 ish dollars) you remove/swap the factory spring but keep the factory shocks. They raise the front about 1 3/4 inch. The front shocks have to be taken off the truck do this. If you don’t have the skills or tools a shop will do it for about $400/500ish. Get an alignment...
