Very interesting since the mustang was not street legal yet it sold out... that could only mean we have more Starbucks Raptor owners than ppl are willing to admit

In 2014 Ford gave us the cobra jet mustang , it was a no vin, it was strictly a drag car. Why can’t that do this with a Raptor.
Go figure, and every one of those drag cars sold too, but again it wasn't to just the general public, it was people with connections and gobs of Cash and Clout, (RACING TEAMS), most of them are probably sitting in a collection which is not what Ford wanted. Hence the special requirements when buying a Ford GT: not allowed to sell it for so many years, etc. I expect the same conditions for the R, if built.

Just curious if anyone knows the answer. Figured someone here is on the inside and would know.

Do you think the R will be available in both the 35 and 37, or only the 37?
Believe the Ford engineer said 37” early on.

If you listen to how Ford has described the purpose of the 35 vs 37" package, you'd think the 35 is better for going faster with longer travel and therefore a better option for the R. The 37 is for slower trails and rocks with less suspension travel, which doesn't require much hp anyway.

Ideally the R will have BOTH the 37 and longer travel, but who knows. One thing is for sure, if I buy an R it sure as hell will have 37s on it.

Yeah that worked out well for for. We want the GT out in the public! Mean while they all sat in garages and were flipped as soon as the contract expired. Anyone who really would have driven them were not approved.

Probably will come with a roll bar inside the cab and some better seats, you may get your wish, but with only a $10k increase, I think you need to wake up, lol, I pray I'm wrong and you're right though.

These guys wanting princess pavement queens haven't seen the price of it yet. They won't be able to afford their daily latte's and the mortgage payments on the R, shit, the ADM on one of those could buy you a good used Gen 1 or 2!! :rotflmao:
Many of the Same people who already have a raptor can easily afford another $30,40, hell even $50k more for a truck w/o breaking a sweat if it checks all the boxes.

have you seen the “what else is in your garage” section guy?

aside from current raptor owners, other perspective buyers would be the same kinda dudes who buy diesel trucks & dump $25k in mods on em immediately, & yet another demographic would be the same
Folks who buy X5Ms, Rolls Royce/Bentley SUVs, cayenne turbo, etc etc

I mean- can you BELIEVE that Mercedes actually put a twin turbo V8 in their utilitarian boxy SUV - you know, the “G-wagon”, but you wouldn’t believe it bro, there’s ACTUALLY people who buy em!!! There’s people out there that can afford $200k SUVs (sarcasm)

there’s plenty that can afford a $90-$110k near trophy truck
