    Cam Phaser/Engine Failure Reports

I don’t know who you are, but you need to be gone.

    Is Cobb TCM worth it?

Yep, me too. In my 2018 I pretty much drive in 4A all the time. I don't spin the rears and wear them out early. I have 48k+ miles on the original tires with about another ~15k to go, so it works well. Anyway, I run the Cobb "sport" TCM tune which is great for pretty much all driving...

    2020 Raptor Tunes and Devices

The right tune and launch technique. Sport mode, Adv Track OFF, 4Auto, Rear diff locked, brake-boost build to final at WOT for ~ 1 sec, release brake, hold on and keep it pointed straight... No wheel spin allowed, so make sure the tires are clean and hot. I usually drive several miles at...

New Motor Oils for GTDI Engines...

There are none that meet the new SP spec yet. However, the SN PLUS oils are out there right now. Just check the label for the SN PLUS in the API circle. Mobile 1, Pennzoil Platinum, & Walmart SuperTech Synthetic 5w30s for sure. There may be others, but I haven't checked to be sure.

New Motor Oils for GTDI Engines...

No typing. Just a copy and paste article from Motor magazine by Bob Chabot. The M1 5w30 is an SN PLUS, so your good for now. The Raptors (2018+) with dual injection aren’t seriously affected.

New Motor Oils for GTDI Engines...

August 2018 Issue Back to Summary Out with the Old: New Oil for New Engines By Bob Chabot Motor oil plays a critical role in maintaining the long-term health of the highly stressed engines in newer vehicles. Installing the correct oil has never been of greater importance. Lubricants...

    Is Cobb TCM worth it?

@Badgertits Bless your heart buddy. You really don’t understand the difference in Cobb products and the run-of-the-mill attempts of others. There is one software program (HPTuners) that all the competition uses. Cobb is the complete system front to back. Cobb develops all their own products...

GEN 2 COBB Accessport - Tuned by GooseTuned

Yeah, I've never met him, or even purchased from him (yet?), but based on his replies to my inputs and his overall responsiveness on this forum has cemented him as one of the "good guys" in the tuning business. Plus he uses Cobb hardware and software!

    Is Cobb TCM worth it?

In my subjective opinion, yes the TCM tune is well worth it. I had the MPT setup while waiting on Cobb to get their testing done and to the market. Although the MPT is much better than stock to me, I much prefer the Cobb version. Much smoother shifting up and down without losing the really...

    FORDPASS TIRE PRESSURE

Same thing happens with the tire pressures. If any tire is low enough to trip the light in the truck, you get the notification in the app. It works fine, just doesn't give the actual numbers in the app.

GEN 2 COBB Accessport - Tuned by GooseTuned

LOL I'm at 48k with 47k tuned on the OEM plugs. You don't need to swap plugs unless you just like wrenching for no reason...

    What’s your Best 0-60?

4.2 sec does sound a bit odd. I don't know what device was used, so I really can't make any true assessment of validity.

    What’s your Best 0-60?

Yeah, the 0-60 is REAL close with the Dragy and with the AP to within about a tenth IF your tire diameter is correct in the AP. Many people don't input the correct tire diameter, so the AP data is "off" more. I have time slips from a local drag strip for mine. They don't give you 0-60, but...

    Misfire Issues

Hmmmm? Do you have 93 fuel? I do and I'm essentially at sea level and have NEVER had any misfires with MPT 93 or Cobb 93 tunes. I'm even running a bit "more" Load/Torque than the normal Cobb tune. Obviously the coil packs can cause issues, but I would suspect poor fuel quality as the culprit...

Finally, a Side By Side Comparison of Rigid Industries VS Baja Designs Lights

LOL No I didn't, but I like the details! Especially on something as debated and contentious as these specific light brands. I've PM'd with @Specialtyperformanceparts, so not to offend him in his test.

Finally, a Side By Side Comparison of Rigid Industries VS Baja Designs Lights

I thought this was going to be a detailed comparison, not just a simple show and tell. BTW, the rigid warranty voiding leaks when rotating the lens cover is a joke. I do see where a goon could booger up the gasket, but that means a simple gasket replacement, not a new light. Anyway, the...

    Cobb Accessport Tire Settings.

Ok, here’s how it works. The unloaded tire diameter is calculated to be 34.36”. HOWEVER, when the tire is supporting the weight of the truck it is compressed such that the effective (rolling) diameter is about 32.9”. The effective diameter can be changed by increasing/decreasing air pressure...

    Misfire Issues

Yeah, we might want to make this post ^^^^ a sticky. This likely isn't the first time this problem has shown up. I think many of the folks who have a lot of misfires and swear the 542 plugs are so great have this issue without realizing the root problem. It can certainly be on random...

    2020 Raptor Tunes and Devices

I have experience with 5Star, MPT, and Cobb. Of the Gen 2 Raptor tuning providers, I would consider 5Star to be at the bottom of the list, if not on the bottom. Cobb is at the top of the list. To include their TCM tune requires a bit more money up front, BUT you will be supremely happy with...

    K&N failed test

EVERY real racer who runs (obviously sponsored by) K&N ALSO runs an outer filter made of closed-cell foam to catch the actual dirt. The K&N underneath is simply to provide the support for a real filter.

    K&N failed test

Your first sentence is completely rational, but the rest is like you’re just trying to be funny. It’s like the socialists in the USA saying socialism is great and the problem is that everyone who tried it prior was doing it “wrong”. LOL

    Cracked valve cover driverside

Yeah that’s unfortunate but you obviously have some ability to diagnose the problem yourself. That’s already a mile in the right direction! As in the post above, if it’s under warranty, then the valve cover should be replaced. It should be replaced eventually, but the JB Weld application will...
