I do believe from posts here the springs are the better route to go. I like the collars but can not base that off knowing both scenarios. I don't feel like anything has changed for the better or worse however.
I'm a bass head but also like it to sound great in the process. With bass comes 100 pound easch subs and lots of Lithium. I even have my back seat out currently. I also have in the garage a Gately underseat with four Gately Relentless 8" subs which I would put up against any other underseat...
Na, was a small arms instructor and crew serve weapons instructor in the Military and now 10 grand into my stereo....maybe cause I'm deaf. My wife says so anyhow..lol.
Unfortunately, your best bet is to a complete install all at once. Stick with the stock system till you acquire all your components. It isn't cheap..but the truck wasn't either. Not as well versed on the Gen3 but you would do fine just replacing the 4 doors and tweeters and not using anything...
I'm sure I'm higher, wasn't even adding up the doors, which is blockoff plates, sound deadening, adapters. I'm scared to add it all up..haha. Hell the 100 foot of OFC is like $500 now..crazy.
People talking 3 grand...lol. Not sure if I should laugh or cry. HAHAHAHA
But he did say starting and was not joking! Pretty sure I'm around 10K right now.
The 6.5s are a better direction in terms of sound but you might be able to acquire a little more bass with the 6x9's if you decide not to do a sub or even a small one. The issue is the better the speaker the more need for more amplification. The room for error here with equipment is pretty high...
Sounds Good Stereo is suppose to be coming out with a behind the seat enclosure any day for two 6.5 subs. Seems they have put alot of time and research into it. Reach out to them and see the status if that is a route you might want to take.
I'm a bass head myself. Currently running the Gately Audio enclosure with four 8" Gately Relentless subs and Sundown Audio Salt-4 at .5. I've had to upgrade my alternator, do the big 3 as well as install 56ah Lithium to run that amp at .5. It's an underseat with seat lift enclosure one of the...
Read the thread, nice build! I liked the improvised tweeter adaptors, and I think they will be just fine, lol. I don't agree with the one 12" is enough bass..hahaha. 90% done with my build and will make a thread then...if it ever is done. Running more power than most people which starts to add...
Yeah I have used Regular countless times with no issues. But I used it and cleaned it quick as well. But I have seen other people on forums talk about it after sitting and the pictures were not good.
Regualar Goo Gone is not safe for your clear. If you use it quick and take it off quick you will be fine however. If left on it will create a milky spot in the clear. WD40 is more safe and works well also.
