Hasn’t had a plastic oil pan since early 2018 I believe. The 3.5 engine has so far been more reliable to me at least than the 5.7 Tundra V8 I had. The 3.5 did get a power bump in 2021, It’s just not advertised.

Has any supercharged gen1 beat a tuned gen 2 in a drap race? I respect the hell outta the gen1 but these 700 hp gen 1s don’t seem to actually do much. I would love to be proven wrong and im serious about that. No way a 700hp g1 beats a TRX….why is that?

The raptor is not a fun vehicle from a “sports car” stand point. It does so much very well and definitely gets out of its own way. It’s not going to be a 60-140 rig, but you’ll be able to do 60 over the worst roads in your area. It’s no harder to park than a regular f150.

Well that was a wild read…93 octane is all I’ve used. With trips to Colorado I try to stick to 90 ish.

This is exactly right…sand. Torsen is useless if you lift a front tire off road. It’s nice, but there is no guarantee a non torsen truck would have trouble or get stuck especially with the traction control systems these days. After my front diff issues in the past, id prefer a simpler front...

If I had to tow “a bit” I’d pick the raptor. It also depends on if you’re towing for 20 mins or 17 hours for a trip. I’ve towed 6000 lbs for 4 hours each way (8 total) with a travel trailer and it was doable but not comfortable. If i had to tow that for an hour …no problem. I’d do an F250...

What exactly does it look like on the methods when the finish fades. The sheen or the actual paint down to bare metal?
